[Help] ODBC Connection Problems

Hello,

Im using omega_buffer guide on how to install Knight Online Database in 2005 server. Im having a connection problem between ODBC and my SQL Server 2005. ( In other words they wont connect) All ports forwarded & opened that are needed. Could someone give a few pointers, the help would be very welcomed. Thank you.

did you make the account Knight///Knight in sql under Security\Logins ?

Hmm still wont Connect. I will start from the begining and redo it again from the guide. I made the 2 accounts but still wont connect .

You only need one login and it needs to be
User: Knight
Pass: Knight

Make sure that in your server files all your ini's are changed to Knight with the password Knight.
When you make your ODBC make sure they all go to KN_Online and make sure you make them with Knight password Knight. Or you can try using windows Authentication. After you make the ODBC test it make sure it works.

Allow permissions to KN_Online with knight. In security\logins under knight go to server roles and select KN_Online and allow all the permissions.

Right click KN_Online go to properties. Select the permissions tab and for Knight select all.

what files are you using?

make sure the version table in the DB is 1299
loginserver and ebenezer ini are 1299
server.ini in the client is 1299

you could be using a hexed ebenezer or knightonline.exe that has been changed to something other than 1299

It says in version they are 1351. and game server 1398 That i got from Zenocide his full server files. From this forum

Use his 1351 client and it you shouldnt have any problems.

please check and take note, that users are in this case in ODBC & DB

passwords are all lowercase

The only users you need are Knight and Sknight the others are just ODBC.
