The purpose of my thread is to list heaps of different VPS selling sites.
So now don't make threads about what's better, or the prices. Because they are listed below:

Since some of you don't know the differences;

VPS:
The term is used for emphasizing that the virtual machine, although running in software on the same physical computer as other customers' virtual machines, is functionally equivalent to a separate physical computer, is dedicated to the individual customer's needs, has the privacy of a separate physical computer, and can be configured to run as a server computer. (You share a dedicated box with other customers, for example a dedi box with 4GB ram could be split into 4 Virtual Servers with 1GB ram each.)

Dedicated Server:
A dedicated server is the same as the definition above, but the customer owns the whole box and you don't share it with other customers.

Recent updates:
  • DMCA safe, and not safe sections.
  • Removed blacklist area.
The Nexon Safe category will contain sites that won't shut you down if Nexon DMCA's you, or either keep all your information private.

Frantech (Currently out) - Reviewed (+2)

  • Frantech offers Windows Server 2003-2008
  • Frantech offers Linux 32 and 64 bit

Prices:
(Same prices for Windows and Linux)
512MB RAM: $12.50
1GB RAM: $25.00
2GB RAM: $50.00
3GB RAM: $75.00
4GB RAM: $99.00

Other plans:
Website hosting and reseller is avaliable.

Quiver's Review:

I purchased the 1GB server from Frantech and I was very impressed. Within 12 hours I received access to my VPS via remote desktop connection. I purchased just before they moved all the locations of their servers, so I don't know how the new location has effected anything. The server was a Quad Core Xeon I believe and the speed was very quick and responsive.

Frantech's ticket support system is slower than I expected, this is a definite down side to them.
Frantech is good for their VPS and prices. Support isn't the greatest.

Softsyshosting - Reviewed (+2)

  • Softsyshosting does VPS and Dedicated Servers
  • HostGator offers Linux
  • HostGator offers Windows

Prices
Bronze VPS ($25/Month) RAM: 1 GB | 1 IP | HDD: 30 GB
Silver VPS ($45/Month) RAM: 2 GB | 2 IPs | HDD: 40 GB
Gold VPS ($85/Month) RAM: 4 GB | 2 IPs | HDD: 80 GB
Platinum VPS ($175/Month) RAM: 8 GB | 2 IPs | HDD: 160 GB

Johnnyrocks's Review:

I remembered I specifically bought a 4 gig ram server with quad-core processor. They were able to give me the Remote desktop connection in about 1-2 hours. Later then, I asked for support, they've answered within the 1-3 minute margin, at LEAST what I expected from services. The speed on the host was okay but Like the actual system speed, I thought was pretty fast and cool :).
I recommend Softsys Hosting.

BrotherHoodMS's Review

I bought a 1GB RAM Windows VPS 2 months ago, I recieved it 15-30 minutes after ordering it, I could connect to Remote Desktop easily and I didn't lag or anything ingame, the download speed is AWESOME. I vouch for Softsyshosting.

So, What's the differnce between Managed and Unmanaged?
Well:
Code:
Unmanaged only supports: Install / Reinstall operating system and Install / Reinstall control panel.

--------------------

Managed supports: File Switch (Transfer Sites from Previous Host), Operating system updates / security updates, Control panel updates, Phone Support, Third Party application installation and configuration.

[URL="http://www.alienvps.com/comparison.php"]Click[/URL] to see it yourself

So, Managed or Unmanaged?
I'd say Unmanaged cause I don't need that extra stuff for 10$ more a month.

Anyways. I'm using windows and since there wasn't the word windows on their side I started to doubt they supported it.
So I sent them an email. I immediately got an email back saying they received mine. In less then an hour later I had my answer. I got a professional written email back and I'm very happy about their support. I highly recommend this to all Linux users.

One downside to this review: I never got to test their services.

Xplicitjohn's Review:
I recently purchased 512mb a few weeks ago. I got the VPS within a day ( to get within a day you MUST buy during their working hours). I couldn't host my PS with 512mb so i canceled. But because i was a new member they had a '30 day money back' thing. I received my $11.95 back!

I then purchased 2gb RAM ($24.95) and got it within a day.

Their customer support took around 3 days to reply :( Which is the only let down.
To confirm Credit Card orders they will call you. To confirm Paypal Purchase's they will email you and you will have to reply back with the transaction's Paypal Invoice ID.

In my opinion i would rate the, 8/10 The only let down is Customer Support.

DawsonByrd's Review -

Hands down, the best prices I've come across(And keep high performance aka not over sold); keep in mind though BuyVM is linux only, and it's not managed. So it's only for those who know what they're doing.

I've been with BuyVM for quite some time now. And the uptime has been great, a few downages but they were out of Frans control; only issue I have with buyVM that I have always had with Frantech as well is the slow response to tickets. I was away for a week and forgot to pay my invoice which lead to suspension, and it took 3 days to get it re-activated after I paid and put in a ticket saying I did; so their support could use some work

But if you're 1.) experienced 2.) a cheap bastard 3.) want good performance and high reliability
Go with buyVM imho.

    Yenpooh's Review

I purchased a 2GB dedicated server from WorldStream for only USD5x. The speed of it was great, I don't know whether its only me or for others too as the speed was very fast. It has only 2 GB and when i used an 8GB dedi from other hosts, the 2GB is more faster then than 8GB one. WorldStream's support is great. There was once when I forgot to disable my auto-updater and the dedi just restarted, that time i didn't know what was happening and i contacted them, I got an answer from them in less than an hour and they put back the dedi server online.
WorldStream is good for their Dedi, speed and prices. I recommend WorldStream :)

Hands down the worst experience I ever had with a hosting provider. Not only is their service terrible, my server crashed on a regular basis and when it was down, Vpsland would not fix it for almost 3 days. If you think that is bad, they over billed me and when I canceled my account with them and asked for my store credit in payment the refused. Stupid host, bloody rip off. Do not use.

Might want to direct link to these websites and maybe list companies who are out of stock (Frantech for example).

Re: [All in one VPS thread]

Just a thought, but instead of just finding the hosts and listing them, maybe only have them up if someone submits a 30 day report on them or a basic review about them. Otherwise, I don't really see the point in this and how it helps people. Anyone could go to Google and search for hosts. So again, only accept links from people who have actually experienced that host and have gone 30 days with them. For example:

Host:

Reasoning: I vouch for because they've been a great host for MoongraMS. They are pretty much 24/7 online, they have powerful & stable servers and great support. The only thing about them that is considered to be 'bad' is that they may take a few days (1-3) to setup your server. Other than that, WorldStream makes for the perfect host for MapleStory as they ignore shenanigans calls/emails from Nexon.

They don't sell VPS's, but Dedicated Servers.
Yes, there is a clear and big difference among them.

I don't really care, I just care about the host and that's pretty much what this thread is about. I doubt the thread starter meant it specifically as in VPS but rather just as a host.

Re: [All in one VPS and Dedicated Server thread]

I'd remove Delimiter from the list.

I had purchased a VPS from them on July 29th, 2010. The transaction went smooth, and I received the details to connect to the server promptly. Upon attempting to connect to the server, I would get a network connection error. On the same day (July 29th), I sent in a support ticket asking if they could do a restart, since the information they gave me for my control panel is false. It is now August 3rd, and I have yet to get any reply to my support ticket. I'm in the process of filing a claim with Paypal to get my money back.
