So... I've been working lately on translating this exe



It came with some files that I have gotten to run... They don't seem to crash or this thing auto restarts the server *shrug* ... best set i've used thus far... will clean up my shared files/point to this archive after I get done translating what I can.

I've been using the program Resource Hacker + Google translation ... so it's spotty at best... but it beats being in total chinese that does me no good :)

cool! question: how do i save when using resource hacker? i changed a certan .exe file and then when i make it run its says that a file is missing...

All I did was a "Save As/Save" ... One will be "File_original.exe" the other is "File_you named.exe"
... seems I'm having connectivity issues (local) I tried to upload last night but failed... will sort it out after work though.

Using this... I assume you to install the files on your D:\ drive ... I have multiple hdd's so I use multi hdd's ... anyways... extract this to say "D:\War_Machine_repack"

go inside and you'll have a directory 'mysql' copy that to D:\mysql


then copy the client patch over your installed jz directory and do the shortcut trick mentioned here earlier

(D:\JZOnline\ZeroOnline.exe blacknull)

and you should be good to go

an example login is
admin/admin


hopefully this'll get more exploration done i'll work on translating more tools I find though :)

I have some file I found and I have it up and running, just need to experiment with the client end.

my files are also running... i have tested them to run over 1hr with out any crash .. but i cant modify .. worlds.dat for my client to connect.. any idea.. or hints?

well in my latest release there is a folder called "Other" ... I zipped up some files I had found but I hadn't been able to translate them cause....
1. I'm lazy
2. I'd have to 'unpack' them and then HOPE I could translate them

anyways one is called 'Unknown.exe" that one... edit's the world.dat ... the other one with the same icon... edits a shell.dat .... but i'm unsure about those... I also don't know where the "ODBC" fits in... but w/e it works that's what matters...

Though the task now aside from try to translate more tools/the server/client it's get it to run locally across a lan...

Tinkle, I am in with Client Version 3028. How far have you been able to get? Seems to be working fine aside from the fact that I can't read anything.

There are mutliple versions though i'm trying to hone in on a "Good/Stable" ... the one I have 'reloads' the servers that crash... I guess they have backdoor(s) in them and people are attacking/shutting them down in china? (Penis envy much? xD ) But yea.... the language barrier is another obstacle to 'tackle'

@koirkz which client are you using an what patches, could you post the links to get the clients? I successed on making the server up & running, need a Japanese client which fits it. I used an older one and it worked, but nothing much in it tho, so I would be happy if you could post those links.... tinkle has put ones, but they no more work for me.

One problem I see with this/that though

Chinese servers have axes last I knew US server hadn't released/added Axes yet.... it could've changed though...

but reassuring none the less :)

I finished editing the "JZ Security guard" .... but now it doesn't want to load... not sure what I killed about it... disappointing to have done all that copy and pasting for naught.... i'ma ask my programmer buddy when I see 'im on IRC about debugging it to see if he see's anything

Well I tinkered with the files today yet again...
I'm off that 'translate' kick for awhile cause... I really don't know wtf i'm doing... I mean It works to an extent but half the time I can't make 'sense' of the translated statement... I have learned a lil from this whole ordeal however.

I'm going to attach some files these files allowed me to set the server to running on lan
so i'm ASSuMIng that another change and it'll be "Online"

I didn't edit my dat's or anything still used the same old shortcut link

The two files are for the GameServer directory
GameServer\Config.ini
GameServer\shell.ini

Edit as needed... Also I did enable the ports via my router (Netgear)

and drop the ".txt" they're ini files

Yoh tink, FYI... i'm running the server and connecting the client in 1 pc... ^^ and my pc only has 256 mb ram.... hehehe... to enable it to run ONLINE is to change the IPS into your WAN IP(i think).... ^^
right now i'm trying to make a reg page and i'll try making a launcher...

Sorry haven't encountered any errors with any of the server files i've tested lately...
