Here is a new release for mangos 3838 2.0.12

note :1: fixes since last release: auras no longer unlimited lasting effect, pets no longer damage for 1000000 + ;). Fixes are from core team and pet patch.
2: Inject in mangos db 3801 sql update (only 3801 ones (2 of them i think)) again as last one wasn t correct, now correct builds correct missing table.

It contains the much raved about vmap patch by ralf. This allows true line of sight. You can no longer cast through walls and mobs cannot see you through walls ;)!!
This also contains my rogue patch + my new vmap additions for stealthing near enemies behind walls, fixing most issue with rogue including vanish, sap, gouge blind, stealth issues etc
and it includes the latest scriptdev 54 (add life, magic and ai to bosses)
This includes my frostbolt patch (add slowdown for spell frostbolt as official).
This includes the pet patch for hunters and warlocks pet (so they learn and use spells)
This includes the pounce and garrot patch, the auction house 4.0 and the ah commands addon+ moregroup info patch allowing to see team members outside normal reach. And finally adding the autoshoot patch for hunter. (these patch where most of them made by other excellent programmers, their work is really appreciated!!!)

Note: Make sure u use the simple vmap bat file in the wow dir to create the new vmaps that need to be put in mangos dir.
Do no forgot to use the mangosd.conf included as it has some added info needed for the vmaps. Added also the ad.exe to create maps from client.

This is one step closed to real server. With true LOS instances can now be attempted ;)!!

Don t forget to update the latest sql files, i added all sql from 3700 to 3801 + the sql update. Please use silvermoons db as the pet patch is almost all included excpte update 5 included!!

ps: use regular dbc and maps as other releases for 2.0.12. For database use silvermoons db rev 6 or older or other already posted db on these pages. (disregard errors for db they are not a problem just missing quest from outland in db, wait for next silvermoon db and they should be gone)

How to run server :

First thing you need to do is make shure that skype any other sqlserver or webserver is
shuted down in the progres tab of task manager . When convidence those are not running
follow the next few steps to get your server up and running for use on same machine as
your client .

1 Start WOWSRVR.bat
2 Your webbrouwser will pop up with an page wait 10-20 sec then refresh the page when
page stays the same then confirm that webserver initialize well with y .
3 When the above steps went ok the servers will start automaticly and you can start playing
when mangosd.exe is fully loaded .

How to make server public without an router :

Follow the above guild till step 2 BUT DONT CONFIRM YET .
Instead go to phpmyadmin and slect the realmd databace from the dropdown then look for
the realmlist table and klick the edit icon . change the server ip thats in there to your
own server ip or no-ip add . After that then confirm the webserver initilized well with Y .
Let users connect to the ip/no-ip adres you yust filled out in the db .

How to make server public with an router :

Make shure you forwarded ports on your router :

Then follow the steps above for setup without an router .

Student1, I have your package, and made the vmaps.. then tried to run my hunter and get some pets, but I have a few issues. It seems my "character_pet" table is way out of sync? I'm using SDB 194 and have all the sql updates applied.. but I don't see one that changes the table a LOT (I'm missing about 6 columns).

I can tame a pet, but get no control window for them.. I can't feed them either (I'm guessing it's because they are basically broke on my server). They engage in combat as soon as I do, but that's about it (I was able to get charge and gore to work for a boar I had, but it was on the spellbook->pet tab, those controls wouldn't go down on my hotbars..?).

Anyway, if you have a full definition of the pet related tables in sql, that would be great (or post the create table commands here?)..

Well, I suppose you are right.. this is mostly a support based query, isn't it.. I apologize :)

Though, I will offer some advice to myself in response.. hoping that the idea I have that I haven't done yet will yield me results and might help others :D

Gonna check the latest mangosd.sql file (like the realmd.sql) that is used to create a full DB.. I'm guessing char pets aren't in the silvermoon db, but the proper fields are likely listed in a mangosd.sql that I've not run (been counting on the updates to be inclusive..)

EDIT: doesn't work.. the defs in the silvermoon db and the latest mangosd.sql I found don't have all the columns.. I recon it's google time :P

EDIT EDIT: Found the info, you need to get an sql file from the patch over at mangosproject.org (need to be a member to see them).. It changes the character_pet table and adds a lot of stuff in there. Still some issues, but some were my fault (like feeding.. didn't get the skill cause I hadn't fully finished the quest)..

Good luck all.. I'll not mess with this post any further, other than to say that when you package with the pet release, you might want to include -all- the files someone will need.. not everyone here is just updating, or knows where all the bits can be found. :)
