I had just bought myself a new computer and graphics card. Right now it's getting somethings installed like the Graphics card, Power supply, and a pci adapter for my sata cables because the 8800 gts card is one fat mother fucker. Anyways, i was just wondering how well the game " Crysis" Or "Crysis - Warhead" would be able to run on this. I hope it's goes well, I've spent over $1100 on it already =]

Processor : Intel 2 Quad core q6600 @2.4ghz
Memory/ ram : 3GB DDR2
Hard drive :640GB 7200RPM
Graphics : BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS OC 512MB PCIe 2.0

I have a very similar system, with Q6600 overclocked to 3,5 GHz. I run on 1920x1200 all on Gamer but texture which is on Enthusiaist.

Check at Crymod.com for custom configs. With those it looks even better with less framerate loss.

Yes, themasher is correct, you got ripped. The total cost of all that is about $600 (if that) so i hope you have a case and PSU worth $500.

Crysis warhead works fine on an e6600 o/c'd with 2gb RAM and an 8800GT. No AA obviously but it works. Crysis requires more.

Yeah, it'll run nicely, maybe you should post the mobo?

Also consider getting another 8800GTS to run in SLI.

Case? Power thingy? ... it costs max 400$... well... every have it's way to select new PC... and yeah - we don't know what motherboard he have (probably this is where that big money was gone^^)... you can go SLI only if you have Nvidia Motherboard (i heard that newest Intel motherboards had support for SLI, but I'm not sure... I know that AMD and ATI are together... lol )

The thread is not about the cost of the system, he has already stated that, so drop it.

Dude don't stress it.

I could run Crysis on Medium Settings on:

1GB RAM
Pentium D Processor
nVidia 8500 GT 512MG

Once I upgraded to 3GB Ram I could play it on High. Some aspects lagged/jumped.

Not on the highest res btw.

I now play it on Medium with the specs above ^ with 3Gb.

edit: Funny that I could play it High on XP - then lagged on Vista. Vista is a freaken laggy OS, especially with the Aero.

And Crysis - Warhead is meant to be amazing, I'm getting it when Ive completed the campaign on Crysis.

1. Never get 3gb of RAM, either get 2gb or 4gb.

2. No that will hardly make a difference at all, your GFX card is poop. THAT needs to be changed.

Uhh, no, it's not, if everything was okay with a game running on min, there'd be no use in developers putting so much time and effort into making a game look so good.

Some people want a great visual experience with a game, and you can hardly achieve that with all low settings on any game..

guess what... my PC is from 2002 or 2003 and it can easly run Halo: Combat evolved (Nvidia 6200; 2.4GHZ celeron (single core); 1.25GB ram; 240GB HDD...)and i can play almost all games i can play Portal, TF2 (even it laggs in middle of battle, NFS:C )min graphics - NO lag), SCBW (^^), MU, WoW, CC3, W3 (On max settings lol ^^) and so on... i don't care about graphics that much... as long as i can recognize everything on screen and it runs fine i'm ok... (okay... i'm collecting money for new PC but still)
