Well thats your opinion but instead of posting "it looks bad" what about being useful and post some feedbacks? say what i must do to make the userbar looks better, personally i don't really expect something good from you. but you could try it anyways.
Yeah someone else just suggested me to do so, i just need some ideas from you guys :)
Well first of all, userbars are supposed to be somewhat colorful and gloosy. Much like the one in your signature, altough it's not the perfect example, it's still a decent userbar. Yours however is cheaply made.
Tutorial:
- Open a document at the same size as his
- Find the background color he's used, and make a layer out of it.
- 1 Pixel Inside Stroke, black with low opacity. In addition to that, do an inner glow with white 2px normal precise. Play around with the opacity and jitters.
- Make a 3x3 document. Make it transparent. Draw 3 white dots diagonal, click edit and define brush preset. Then make a layer in your first document, create a clipping mask of the primary layer. Chose layer style: overlay. Then play around with the opacity. If it gets too light, chose color overlay, then black and play around with the opacity.
- Make another layer, get some splatter brushes and play around with outer glow and layer style.
- Last. Use the ellipse tool, and create a "halfcircle" as he has done and set opacity to 20%. White colored, ofcourse.
Should take approximately 5 minutes.
Cba to concentrate on the animation and text, but it's fairly simple.
