say i have a decimal value.
299
i wnat to convert it to hexadecimal.
I follow whats said in my school textbook and I got 12B.
but the textbook answer insist on 12B1,
which is correct? why?
299/16 = 18 (remainder is 11(b))
18/16 = 1 (remainder is 2)
1/16 = 0 (remainder is 1)
So from reading from bottom upwards, it is 1 2 B
hence answer 12B, why is there an additional 1 behind in the textbook saying 12B1??
