Problem with IIS 7 and MIME extensions

I added the correct mime extensions for both .dat and .exe to be downloaded from IIS 7. However I keep getting an error in the web. Error 404 Web server cannot find the file or script you requested. Please check the URL to ensure that the path is correct. This is not a script but, direct download link to the file. Any suggestions? Thanks

Please close this. Thanks. The problem wasn't the mime extension at all. In fact it was the URLScan.ini file. Thanks
