what script?

im planning on making a new website and a feature i want is kinda a reccomendation list thing. Users fill out a form concisting on 3 boxes and press submit. this is then added to the list in alpabetical order to box 1. the thing i wanna know is whats the best script language to use. i figued i need a database so php/sql or asp? which 1? any help will be appriciated.
