Hello! Today we are going to create THIS

JaydenC - Creating a typography background! - RaGEZONE Forums

In 5 simple steps.

Step 1.

Create a image that fits your background.
Mine is (1440x900) so I will be making it that size!

Step 2.

Color it completely black.
(You can use paint bucket, or paint tool).

Step 3.

Create a new layer.
The text that is behind the huge letters, is JAYDEN CASEY.
Choose your own, for example if your name was John Smith it could be your name.
For the best out come, use caps.
The color for the font would be #404040
And the size would be 18px.
Font is Tahoma.

You have made it this far, Good work

Step 4.

Hide the layer with the "JAYDEN CASEY" text or the "JOHN SMITH" text (Click eye button beside layer).
Click the text tool, Write out the letters that will be in the front. For example mine was "</Jayden>".
Now un-hide the layer again by clicking the 'eye'.
I used white font (#FFFFFF) and the size of the font is 200px.
If you want yours too look like mine, I used .

Step 5.

Click Layer>Create clipping mask.

Congratulations, your done!

Please REP + Thank me if this helped you out.

Also I would like to see your outcomes, after. :):

Good tut, but you could use some more detail in it. Someone without much Photoshop would not be able to follow this very well, and it's not all that difficult of a project to accomplish.

Tried to simplify it as much as possible, I don't think anyone will have a problem following it.

It is simple.. but not for begginers.
Thanks
