New Players Installation Instructions:
1) Download the World of Warcraft client and install it.
2) Patch using the correct 2.0.1 full patch.
3) Install The Burning Crusade
4) Patch to 2.0.12
5) Open the World of Warcraft folder
6) Open realmlist.wtf
7) Put in the server IP
8) Run WoW.exe (Not Launcher.exe)
9) Create an account, login & play!

Answer: Download the 2.0.0 > 2.0.3 Patch, apply it then download the 2.0.3 > 2.0.12 Patch and apply it, you should be able to play then.

ok I first patched my client with 1.12.x to 2.0.1-enUS-patch then installed TBC from The Burning Crusade Torrent Mirrors you have in the first post but then it went back to version 2.0.0.6080 :S
is everything ok or is something wrong? Cuz I saw what you said about 2.0.0 > 2.0.3 Patch and my version is 2.0.0. (6080) so it should work, right? and then the 2.0.12

Odd, try installing from 2.0.0 > 2.0.3 then up to 2.0.12.

noone of the links is working, the first one I can get to the patch but when I press Download it ends up coming to the mainpage
and second I get Error 404 - Not Found (and btw it says 2.0.3 > 2.0.12 not 2.0.0 > 2.0.3)

Tired of searching quest stuff on thottbot/allakhazam/wowhead when ur questing?
So was and and I decided to look for solutions on the net and I fount this!

1)Download and install to your addon directory: cartographer, cartographer_quests and cartographer_quest objectives from -> [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]

2)Navigate to this thread in the WoWAce forums -> [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] and in the second post download the attachment which suits you (combined if you play both horde and alliance).. by the way you need to sign up to their forums to download the attachments.

3)Unzip/Unrar the attachment to:
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\xxxxxx\SavedVariables
(xxxxxx = your WoW account user name)
Be sure use the right account name of the right server.

4)Start WoW,open your map, click the cartographer button which is now up top, navigate down to the QuestObjectives menu and check "hide completed objectives" and "hide inactive quests"

5)All the Swords / Bags / Gear icons on your map will now represent current quest Spawns / Lootable Quest items and Quest objectives..

Bye bye searching for quests!

AddOn memory might be needed to increase,you can do this by opening the AddOn window on ur character selection screen and changing it to a larger number (I got "0" meaning so much as needed).

For people who don't have a Torrentor, you save to hard disc then open with WinRar/WinZip and double click the file extension to begin the WoW download mirror.

If you installed 'the Burning Crusade' and patched it with something read this colour *****

Tell me what patch you have used and ill help you from the next post i make.

If your reading this colour you need the following patches:

1st Patch = Patches from 2.0.0 to 2.0.3
2nd Patch = Patches from 2.0.3 to 2.0.12 (Obviously lol)

Once you done this it should automatically patch it from 2.0.12 to 2.1.0

When you get to this version, STOP! and wait for the server to come online

i'm pretty new around here...... so this might seem pretty silly....

i have a completely fresh 2.0.0 US install....
i dont have tbc.....

now can i just install that 2.0.0 to 2.0.3 patch (and the other one) and play
or do i have to install TBC also??

cant i play without TBC??
if yes, can i install TBC at a later date..... when i'm done downloading it?

well i installed the 2.0.3 and 2.0.12 patches without TBC (just to see if it works).......... so i now have 2.0.12 without TBC.....

now, my question is how do i create a new account?????
when i click on wow.exe it takes me to the login screen and asks me enter username and id.....

but how do i create a new account???

you do not need BC to play here, just make sure you have version 2.0.12

Set your realmlist: set realmlist loginserver.ragecraft.net

Okay, this is where I'm confused. My World of Warcraft Client is at version 2.0.1, and I'm just about finished downloading The Burning Crusade. What my question is, how will I go about installing The Burning Crusade? Just install it into my WoW directory or what? Please respond to this ASAP, I would like to get this working the first try, without having to reinstall and repatch.
