GM's running around and someone checking suspicous hack logs

gameguard is pretty good too these days .. but harder to implement.. and it will only stop some hacks, not bots for example..

Good GM's are still the way to go
and some kind of report thing

Best anti cheat in MU community for free or payed, here is my top list:

1.- MU Guard private version (Erick)
2.- Mauka anti cheat (Mauka)
3.- Skt guard launcher (SunLove)
4.- AH.dll (f1x base code)

Best anti cheat at world wide level:

- Battlenet 2.0 (Blizzard)
- GameGuard (Inca corp)
- PunkBuster (Even Balance)
- XTrap (Pathetic)

The problem is most people just implement Gameguard on the client side.. and that just doesn't work.. The server needs to be gameguard enabled too...

Try hacking global mu online - you will see.. it's not impossible, but it won't be easy

and i didn't say it's the best, i said its a good one. I also said it has problems..

oh you can, i think this checksum is made so we can't say that they do nothing. You can send to server any checksum you want without changing the main, just using a proxy or crack the main and make it to send the original checksum using an API hook.
I didn't tested on s5 but when it was still on k2 it worked every time.

How to test gmo checksum?

Well change a byte in main.exe , enter game , after you select character you get dc-ed
That checksum not GG checksums

BUT if you unpack and remove GG you will be also DC... Why? simple since GG makes the checksum then it will send a NULL checksum and server will DC you.

Eye on that GG is not the "real" GG. GMO uses the most cheap version of GameGuard, while GunBound uses the most expensive.
