(INTRODUCTION)
Hello,
I got a server up and running now , it took me ages to make that work and i learned alot.
The problem was that I was behind a router, and didn't know wich things i had to do,i needed lookback adaptor/static ip etc.
Now its easy for me to setup a server.

But now i need to learn more and more about server configurations, I already know some basics.

(WHY I MAKE THIS GUIDE)
I am new with muservers, but my server as to be nice.
And if i want something to happen, i want to keep trying.
Lot of guides helped me, but there was 1 big question bothering me....

HOW THE HELL DO I CHANGE THE ITEM DROPS OF DIFFREND MONSTERS!?

If i knew the answer i could fix 1 of the biggest problems in my server....

(in the server the best items drop from stupid bulls they are the strongest in game, now i can remove these stupid bulls,, change them to a nice mob, and make it drop the same items :D) (now i dont need to try reskins or whatever :D)

When i was looking for a guide about item drops from diffrend monsters i couldn't find anything.
so i tried to figure it out by myself searching around google, looking in archives and I found a simpel line:
(change levels from monsters will make diffrend drops...)
Well i think many newbies are having this question, so here is a short but clear guide :)

(THE GUIDE)
we got 2 diffrend ways, i will explain below

First way

PART 1

Every server has a monster.txt
you can change alot of things from every monster in this file.
in the ragezone guidecentre you can find alot about it but for now: i will only focus on the item drops from diffrend monsters.
It's very simpel:
I will use the spider as example.
The normal level for a spider is level 2.
you can see that below here,,,

You know what kind of items it drops huh? just some crappy trash, well lets do something funny :p...
change the level of the spider to level 139!!! :p.... restart your server and kill some of them
haha now it drops season 2 items whaha easy ,isn't it?
The level of the mob doesnt make it any stronger a level 1 character can still kill it :D!

BUT LISTEN CAREFULLY:
If you do this, the xp you gain from the spider will also increased like a bomb!

So you can say this about monster levels:
- The level of the mob says wich items it will drop.
- The level of the mob will also say alot about the experience you gain.

PART 2

Now we got another problem, you need to know wich monster levels drop wich items... well that's easy to find out :D
just make a character with max stats go find the items your looking for:
Example: we are going to look for a legendary armor.
As our surprise we found it in losttower 7, from a death gorgon. (this can be diffrend in your server it depends on the levels they have there)
ok now we open the monster.txt file again and we look for the death gorgon.

As you can see its level 64!!
So if you want to drop legendary armor from a spider... make te spider level 64 :D
That's it very simpel, but you just have to know how it works :D! you can do this with every monster.

You can do this, if you want to do it very simpel and don't realy care about te xp....

Second way

PART 3
You can also just change the item level itself,
this way you dont have to edit the monster.txt, and all the xp stays the same:

We will use the legendary armor example again:
as we noticed the gorgon was level 64 now we are going to check the item.txt

Item Name ItemLVL Defense Durability
"Legendary Armor" 62 22 0 42

as you can see the item level is 62,, its around the level of the gorgon

so if you want to drop it from a a spider, (i told you that the normal level of a spider is level 2)
you have to change the item number to level 1/2 :D and it will drop from a spider

the case with the item.txt, is a litle difrend because you work with a level range as you can see the level of the legendary armor is not level 64 but 62, and i dont know a level range of it, but if you stay around the monster level it will work :D!

the problem wit this way is that you have to change every single item,, on and with mosnter.txt you dont have to.

hm, there's something more, u need to read from item(kor).txt too, if legendary armor was lvl 64, then it will be drop from monster lvl 64, so u can change it the way u wanted to be...(monster lvl or item lvl)
but still something i need to know... how to determine where to drop exc item? coz it's different than droping non exc item... making me confused so much till now

changing the mobs level prevents changing exp that mobs give, so if u realy want to change items drop level, then u have to go to items.txt, and change drop lvl there =) not in monster.txt =)

raise exc drop ? well still not as much as expected, well yes the easy way was using bok, but it will be more fun if we can set it to drop from monster ^_^ something like this, u need to hunt for a day(random time drop) just to obtain exc soley scepter from one spot, the item value will be increase higher ^_^ since it's harder to get
long time ago at S1 i found a server that has that kind of game play(soley, explotion, DK armor, Venom Armor, Bone blade, only drop once a week), but the server already shutdown right now sigh...

As far as I know, the excellent droprates can be configured normally like normal drop rates. I don't know where because I never had a server of my own.

Then again, the excellent items drop from higher level monsters than normal items, here is one place where you can look up for them:
small axe normal drop (+0) lvl1. Excellent lvl26.
So you can easily count from there - difference between +0 normal and excellent is 25 levels and it seems to apply for every item.

Looking again at the item site I posted above, small axe drop level is 1, with +1 it is 4, so 3 levels increasement for every +.
If you to have some specific monster drop some item(+0) that is lets say lvl25, the mob needs to be in range of 25-27, at 28-30 it drops +1 and so on. This doesnt apply to excellent items, they are always +0 when they drop.

nice my friend, after looking at that, i finally understand how, by comparing everything (monster.txt and item(kor).txt) everything is clear now :)
the range was also right, example item lvl 75 so exc will be 100, it will drop from monster around 99-101, nice guide

Correction: it will drop from lvl 100-102 mobs. The minimum is always the same as the item level and the max will be the 2 levels over the minimum. That is because the +1 excellent would drop from lvl 103 mobs and there is no such drop as a +1 excellent item. Sorry if my previous post left something unclear. :p

i need to add more

to make it rare, make it exactly +25, for example dragon soul staff at lvl 75, so if we want to make it rare, make monster lvl 100, if monster lvl at 101-102, exc dragon soul staff will be easy to drop, this is usefull for low - med rate server, but for high rate server,mm useless :p

Guys always have in mind that changing the level of an item in item(kor).txt will also change the requirements they ask to be used.

If you make an item level 170 it wont ask for the same stuff an item level 64 asks for.

needstr = 0.03 * items.droplvl * items.str + 20;
needagi = 0.03 * items.droplvl * items.agi + 20;
needenergy = 0.04 * items.droplvl * items.eng + 20;

PS: Also remember to change item.bmd or players will suffer disconnection, wont be able to wear X items and similar issues.

Zerg:
needagi and needenergy are right only if initial values are not 0
otherwise all items would have 20 agi and 20 energy requirements

So if i want to Drop i should put
1 "GM Box" 0 (The M LVL i want to drop it)
But what i need to put on the Value?
