So I did download server files but there is missing MuOnline.bak.
Edit: everything is fine.

There is no different in running servers on win 7 then win 8 only thing in OS is win 10. (Win 10) Can't run sql 2000
Win 8 just run the program as admin. And everything will work fine. if not just set the compatibility to win xp service pack 3 and run as admin and everything should work. Although i do not recommend running on a home machine for a public server.

If im not wrong then you can easily use SQL 2008 R2(using it now) or 2012 if you know what are you doing and the files work the same ... but ofcourse sql 2k is better if you´ve used it before...
about the Home hosting works fine if you´re able to protect it and have a decent network with good bandwith but if you have money go for a cheap VPS or better yet get a dedicated server (16gb +)

Well, first off all I changed from win8 to 10 cuz my pc with win10 is better.
Anywhy I get this error...

None of the server names work, SQLEXPRESS and . doesn't work as well. SQLEXPRESS supposed to be server name, but I still get same error.

Cincendorfs Server name = your computer NAME you can see it in system (control panel)
Authendication= SQL server authendication
login = sa
password=....

Cincendorfs thats so weird... i never used win 10 and sql 2014 so i dont know much but i guess they are similar-
is SQL Server running @ Sql server configuration manager?

obviously the TRANDUCIT\SQL2014 seems very wrong, so do me favour, be sure u installed sql like i show u on my video 100% same way.
cuz it looks like u didnt follow the steps correctly.
2. YOUR-PC name copy it and paste it on sql management studio Server: and connect there maybe thats what it eneds and not TRANDUCIT\SQL2014 ..

KarLi i used this tutorial cuz it was on win10. at instance configuration he didn click default, so i guess that was the problem. seem like it works for now. thanks
