Sure, what seems to be the problem? what are the modifications done to the client or Server.

Hello, I'm really interested in this game(I played it when I was little and I loved it) and I am willing to put a server online.
I came in contact with some chinese developers from this game and they are selling their sources(heavily modifiend client and server, fully functional) for 3000 RMB, which is around 475 USD.
I will open a server with the current available sources and when I get a hold of these chinese sources I will gladly release them here, but I had a little problem...
The client sources that are released here seem to have some problems of some kind. I can't compile them.
Is anyone that has got the Client to compile(CB-Byte) willing to help?
In return I release the newer sources.
Sure, what seems to be the problem? what are the modifications done to the client or Server.
Compilation of client is impossible. (Using VS 6.0)
I get a ton of errors related to the music(?).
Also, I found the Travia2 Source Code of Client and Server. Will be posting it as soon as I finish downloading.
That's good news. You can post the files here or send it directly to my email so that i can look into it and do something to it to make it run if it is complete. We have totally modified the server and client. Currently we are working on the quest system and pvp since we can't do anything with the animations since we did not poke on travia2 compression and encryption methods.
Looking forward to a brand new Private Travia Server.
add me on MSN, I PMed you my MSN.
I goota go now, we'll talk tomorrow
I wouldnt mind taking a look at the travia 2 files. Thats what i'm looking to host.
Ohh, I'm glad to see some activity here! I've been on the "Travia scene" ever since the very beginning and the game still has a special place in my heart, haha. I also had my own modified server few years back but I never quite saw it being ready for a more public release than our internal testing group, as there were still a lot of issues I couldn't fix. If there are actual working Travia 2 files out there, I'd be more than happy to take part in the development and provide assistance, or to set up my own server aswell. Cheers guys! :)
