Team Recruitment Rules | Revised

The Team Recruitment section is a great way for server and network owners to find people willing to assist in the development of their projects. We are going to do our best to provide the most organized section as possible so you will always be able to appeal to the groups of people you're looking for. To do this, we have some rules and guidelines you must follow.
General Rules
- Do NOT ask for someone to host your server or another server to merge with. If you are not able to provide hosting for your own server then you should not be using this section.
- Do NOT post threads asking to become a staff member or offering your services to any willing server. Use the existing threads to find y+ourself a job.
- Stay on-topic. Off-topic posts will be deleted and the posters will possibly face infractions. Message a Team Recruitment moderator if you want us to clean your recruitment thread.
- Do not bump threads you did not make; only the topic creator may bump his or her threads. Also, do not bump your thread more than once every 24 hours.
- Threads with no reply for 2 weeks will be closed. If you would like it reopened, message a moderator.
- Please post constructively. Flaming and spamming will not be tolerated and will result in getting infracted.
- We are no longer going to allow threads to be posted for websites or forums without plans to run a private server. If your site is not related to a functioning private server then your thread will be deleted and you will be infracted.
- This is not a server advertisement section. Please post your server ads in the Server Advertisement section.
We now allow people offering a dedicated server to post team recruitment threads. However, there are a few things you still need to follow.
- You must provide server specifications and where your server is located. We are allowing this for dedicated server owners only. If you are wanting to host a server from your PC, you're out of luck.
- If you are a network owner, you must provide links to your network's website.
- You need to specify a single game you're wanting to host. No threads like "I have a server, someone host whatever game they want" will be allowed.
Please read the global forum rules and terms of service, found here and here.
New Thread Guidelines
When making a new thread, our way of knowing you have read the rules is by tagging your thread. Thread tags also make the section look more organized and easier to find what you're looking for.
Please note that we have a separate section for MapleStory related recruitment, which can be found here. If you do not post your MS recruitment thread in the specified section then it will be deleted and you will be infracted.
View the following spoiler to view some examples of thread tags.
You are allowed to link to your websites when posting a recruitment thread. In fact, it is probably a good idea to have a website up and running before you start recruiting a team. It will make your server / network more inviting for people wanting to volunteer time for staff responsibilities.
Posting what positions you're recruiting for and how many spots are available for each one is a very good idea. It will let people know exactly what you are and are not looking for.
Another good idea is to post as much contact information as possible, such as your email or MSN address. If you do not want to post your email then it would be a good idea to set up a new email account, such as one at GMail, for people to get in contact with you or submit applications via email.
Thread Template
This is just a very brief template of what a thread abiding by the rules should look like.

Re: Team Recruitment Rules | Revised
I've updated the rules to allow people to post threads offering a dedicated server to anyone who wishes to run a MMO server for them, due to the large amount of people requesting this rule change. Please read the updated rules before you post these threads.
We now allow people offering a dedicated server to post team recruitment threads. However, there are a few things you still need to follow.
1. You must provide server specifications and where your server is located. We are allowing this for dedicated server owners only. If you are wanting to host a server from your PC, you're out of luck.
2. If you are a network owner, you must provide links to your network's website.
3. You need to specify a single game you're wanting to host. No threads like "I have a server, someone host whatever game they want" will be allowed.

Re: Team Recruitment Rules | Revised
ATTENTION
Do not post team recruit threads if you're only offering application via your website/forum THIS SECTION IS FOR RECRUITMENT not advertising SO PLEASE do not tell people to register to your site to apply,
Threads will be deleted!.. I may allow if you add it as an option but NOT if it's the only option.

Re: Team Recruitment Rules | Revised
I've just got done with a massive clean-out of this section
I'd just like to elaborate on a few things, if a thread stays inactive for 2 weeks, it will be closed. If still no attempt has been made to reopen it after 2 months, it will be deleted.
Thanks

Team Recruitment Mods:
Wouldn't it be wise to actually either modify or remove this rule ->
- Do NOT post threads asking to become a staff member or offering your services to any willing server.Use the existing threads to find y+ourself a job.
I really want to create a thread offering free services [Building Software]. Was worth a shot since it is a 3 year old rule, during that time it made sense.
