Hi all server administrators kalonline!, I'm new in this section, so I have a few questions about hosting:

- What parameters are enough dedicated server for the game was stable?

- Is HyperFlirter is a sufficient safeguard against attacks?

1- 4 GB+ Ram is enough and more is better
* also high CPU

2- HyperFlirter is the best for sure

hosted server for 2 years solid on the following home root specs and hosted 100 - 275 ppl average for the whole 2 years.

intel duel core 3.0 ghz

windows xp pro operating system

2gb ddr2 ram

160gb hard drive

20 mbps download / 5 mbps upload

and beleive it or not i didnt have hardly anyone cry about lags.



i know you asked about 5 ppl but as you can see it does not take much to host a kal server

max 5 people? wat? :huh: How did you calculate this since you know nothing about his computer.

Everyone is talking about computer, but this isn't the main problem. For sure if someone want host server on home pc - he should have good enough internet connection. You can have for example newest processor from intel/amd etc. but this won't help if you have crappy internet speed.

i fully understand what you say lol , and i know it would differ also from internet speed to another speed
and i didn't say that 5 people are maxmium , had u even checked his post yet?
