vBulletin is fully open source, you are allowed to modify it as long as you keep the footer intact (Copyrights) unless you pay to remove it....
The care about the web site aswell since there copyright is on the images =]

| Well as far as the emails concerned they couldn't care less about the DCRs as they havn't contacted me about that, as you know they are hosted in the US. And i'm not sure how we'd have 2 companys after us. As firstly vBulletin would be licensed and it's not like were doing any MAJOR editing, just a few changes in the register file and DB :)

I Got this about a year ago lol :p just take your hotel down for like a week and put it back on i done that and had it open for ages i never got another letter i think its just a warning :P

well thats happens too because people always use names like habbo or hotel or bobba or furni and that stuff in title. if people dont use a title that dont have anything to do with habbo it is hard they get you
and also try using ur own themes there is no need to use habbo themes thats why they find us easy

To be honest yes they could stop retros at any time. they have enuf people working for them to kill retros off. alot of people wondered why they dont. it becuase they wanna get money. they dont give a monkeys abouts peoples retros becuase they know their still gonna get growing members on the real habbo. all they wanna do is let us make retros and try get money off us. simply tbh thats their game

we just need to do stuff that dont have habbo on it change retro names, change layouts, and some more stuff.
example: almost everyone who does a retro does the stupid choice of making habbo, retro, hotel, bobba,lodge and all stuff thats have to do something bout with habbo in their retro name.
people always use habbo layouts.
if we can try to change names and layouts it might work and also change some more stuff that includes: furni names, badges, etc
i know this is about habbo but i dont tink we dont whant to get finded by sulake and that stuff and we are also not the same as habbo we are different. so lets show we are

| If you've legally purchased vBulletin you can do whatever you want to it so long as you maintain the copyright notice from the original authors, you're obviously not going to develop nuclear warheads or anything with vbulleting, but still... so long as you don't claim you coded the forum, or nullify it, then its all good, either way you're better off just coding your own forum and CMS from scratch.
