Im using sql server 2008 =.=' will it be able to do the database check ? and i need some help from expert ppl here to help me some.Here i not really understand how to open the database from vs08 as shown as below T_T

i didn't test it in sql2008 but i did use vs2008 so dont see why it wouldn't work.

And donno what you're having issues with on that line just do as it says, open project properties and go down under database, select your datasource.

1st of all i would like to appologize here. im 1st time to use vs software that why i really confusing how to do it. Tyfix would u plz spend a little time to teach/show me how to done it plz. i spend 2 week to make server ryl 1 v600 but i having problem with register webpage and now the bug but i try my best to get some help from pors in forum slowly. 1st time make server with 0 knowladge of server stuff wedpage stuff and now vs2008 >< i dint gave up but i hope you might help me abit.thank alot to those bro would lend me some hand here.

me also newbie in this RYL ps.... for what i saw that torment have fixed those bug, this my noob thought;

change the onehanded weapon to akhan weapon? helm change the meterial value (saw torment notice mentioned thank to Xv***** <--then search in the post)...

let me say this:
Way 1 -
All you have to do to disable all this sort of action from ever happening is to add 2 triggers into your database. Those triggers should check the equipment field content when a row is being updated.

1. When should you check - ON UPDATE database event
2. What should you compare - the slot index where a item is equipped
3. With what should you compare - with itemscript item type, can this type of item go into the wished slot?
4. What should you do when all is ok - allow the update to proceed
5. What should you do when something is out of order - disconnect a player
6. How you disconnect a player - winsocks API has some commands for it

. All this is implemented in the rylDatabaseChekcs if you'r lazy and don't want to write your own.
Now if you don't understand the action list then just forget it.

Way 2 -
Using some odd ryl itemscript change that would trigger up some checks. Just try editing different fields, there may be a chance. No guarantee on this one tho.

It's quite easy to install the guide actually:
1. You go to some thread where you can find the readme file (or content of it)
2. Select all the text (make it blue)
3. Press Ctrl+C on your keyboard OR right click with your mose on the blue text and select copy
4. Make a new text (.txt extension) file on your desktop
5. Double-click on it
6. Press Ctrl+V or right click with your mose inside the window that opened and select pase
7. Press Ctrl+S or select File->Save from the menu
8. Read the guide.

My opinion ryl database checks is just for short term solution, for the long term just like torment did they already made off hand weapons with specific stats and details and so many bugs fixed, my questions must be re - edit some of server files :
1.itemscripts.txt
2.ItemScript.gsf with extra skill for coding

am i right for this ?

if you found the thread/file, read the readme.txt - i give out no support anymore on that one. And this soft aint for newbies for sure.

to adam12 - no its not a temp solution. After you've implemented the checks no "corrupt" data can be stored in the equipment/spells tables which makes this absolute.
And as for the torment way of fixing things. Read the "way 2" in my post. I have'nt played around with itemscript that much so can't comment on that one futher.

Now i got ur point, you just answered all question about item bugs so many thanks Alpha, i don't know if using RYL database checker the table values will be permanently fixed.:D
