I don't know what Versions ur working with and server files of this guide are outdated...

Make sure your conf files are set correctly.
If you try to connect with 127.0.0.1
And the conf file says something else (the server IP) it won't work.
Just set it to 127.0.0.1 and it will work fine that's all
