Weird stuff with the mainsrv and shit

Your Ad Here
Ok so i'm setting up SQL once again.

Had it running before, no problems at all.

Now i had to reinstall it and now my mainserver and shit are asking for PW and ID's

Now i have tried the sa and pw from SQL, no luck.

Bjorn said it has to be the ODBC i've resetted that for 50000 million times with every single option possible, and it still gives me the same pop up asking for my ID and PW...

any idea how to get that off?

I never had it asking for my id and pw before so i found it weird it does now

Re: Weird stuff with the mainsrv and shit

the problem is because when you press ok or whatever it tries to connect but fails, when it does it gives you the popup again.

This can be because: ODBC fails
db not running

or the program does not get enough permission, the permission thing mostly only happens in vista (I think?) and you solve it by right klicking the program and choosing "Run as Administrator". Then it should work (if the issue was permission).

Re: Weird stuff with the mainsrv and shit

Nah, I got the authsvr and dbsvr working without asking the pw anymore, it said Server started on port 50001... and 40001 for DB.

When we start mainsvr, DBsvr shows

new connection from 127.0.0.1
max iid(0)
close connection from 127.0.0.1

while the Item table's highest iid is 2...

Re: Weird stuff with the mainsrv and shit

Which i still cannot solve... it keeps saying in the mainserver: "Cannot find item ID"

I had Bjorn take a look at it, but he didn't seem to know the answer to it.

Does anyone else perhaps know the answer?
