and i got another problem...i can log in at my own server. then i see the subserver(bartz) but i cant get in :/ i was klicking and hitting enter a lot but nothing happens^^

Check your hosts file and your server.properties file from your config folder of the game server.
In hosts file there should be something like:

192.168.1.6 L2authd.lineage2.com
192.168.1.6 L2testauthd.lineage2.com

...but the IP should match the same on your config\server.properties file on Externa / Internal IP address.

In server.properties and login.properties you have 2 IP's to set: External and Internal.
Internal one is the one for your LAN, and it can be 192.168.x.x.
The External one is the one you are being seen from outside LAN, and it should be a routable IP' You can find it going to

For you, internal, the hosts file should look like:

# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.

# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.

but for someone coming from outside, it should look like:

Notice that the sign "#" is for <comment>.

guys i have problem...im a newbie in this and ee i can make loginserver and gameserver works...but i cant log in....dunno what i need to do with host file and server properties file...i tried to change this IPs there many times and nothing...is it cos i have installed L2 2 times?? (1 is in other folder cos i play on other server)
or what??...pls help me

go to server.properties and set the MaxProtocol to 999

LOL! go to min protocol and change it to 736. for me update your client.

Check your network settings (start -> run -> cmd (enter) -> ipconfig (enter))
Get from there your IP address and set it in server.properties and login.properties

pff... Why do you peeps all chose for rapidshare... Choose for filefront, that free for always without waiting time. Rapidshare isn't that rapid if you don't have a premium account and i'm not that stupid that i'm goin to buy an acc for 3 files... now i have t owait a half an hour to get the files in... ffs... :yuk1:

did you opened the firewall ports? you have to open two ports, the login system and the gameguard ones. If youre back a router you should redirect that ports to the server machine.
