Custom badges help

So some of my badges I've created have black backgrounds and I really cannot figure out the issue. This only happens to a random handful. Some new ones like the 'F' in the image just got a black background after I cleared my cache. All badges on a 40x40 canvas size with transparent background. Flash texts correctly input, if anyone knows a fix for this would be appreciated.

Yes, always a .gif

And you make them with photoshop?
and you sure it's with a transparent background

Paint.NET and yes 100% magic wand tool the background, it appears as grey and white squares therefor it's transparent

that's weird.... I don't know how this happen then
