Which version of xampp is best

Which version of xampp is best because the latest one uses mariadb instead of mysql and i dont want that maria poop . please give me a specific version so i can install my poop and get started. THANKS

i used to make r63 with mysql for a very longg time , now im trying to set a r63b i read tutorials and stuff and all use mysql so i dont want mariadb poop :3

i used to use this without any problems. you can still use a newer xampp also. you can set a password in phpmyadmin for root.

MariaDB is a drop-in replacement for MySQL. You should be fine.

However I do not recommend running a development environment such as xampp for a production server because Xampp is designed for development. Xampp is insecure with the default settings.

Just go latest build.
