[Guide] How to fix Apaches from not starting[XAMMP]

Not sure if this is the right section to post this in but many people(New people) who make hotels use XAMMP and about 70-80% of them can't get Apache to start. So i made a tutorial on the main reason why Apache don't start. The most common reason is that you have another program running on you pc that runs on port 80 and Apache uses port 80. So this is just a small tutorial on how to change Apaches port and helpfully get your Apaches running.


1) Click explore on Xampp c-panel


2) Click the Apache folder.


3) Now click conf!


4) Now do Ctrl + F and search for "Listen 80" with out the "".



5) Now change "Listen 80" to "Listen 85"
Now it should look like this;



Okay, now restart Apaches and try it it should work now.
Now to link the pages so you don't always have to do yoursite:85 when you go into your housekeeping change the cms url(Not really sure whats it's called) to yoursite:85.

--Other common XAMMP error's.

If you get error's on your CMS download
-Download XAMMP 1.7.1. Download link; Old Version of Xampp 1.7.1 Download - OldApps.com
-Xammp safety tip go to your folders on XAMMP and delete the "WebDav" folder.

.. Or change the program using port 80 to use another port..? Seriously. No one will remember hotelurl.com:85. Habbofags are stupid, and apending a port to a web url/ip will not help.

You can edit that in the HK. So you can change it to YOURIP:85 so the pages link.

Plus XAMMP is really bad for hotels(If they want to get big in other words)

Lol if my apache doesn't work I spam it by clicking it and after a few spams it works :p Nice guide though. But one more thing close skype if its on or utorrent because they use port 80 so thats why its busy.

Xampp USB 1.7.7=
Only > Apache 80 , Mysql 3306

And and if Apache is not running , Go Start,Services Microsoft Management ..
