thumbs up How to Host your Own DCRs [w/ Pictures & Support]

    Tabo Hotel
    Hello RaGEZONE,

I am back again with a new tutorial! This time on How to Host your Own DCRs. Yes I know they are some around here but I assure you this shall help you.
I have seen many people having difficulty so I decided to create a tutorial on how to create one. Now Below I am going to post everything you need along with its downloads. Before we get started, let me give you a summary on DCRs & why you need them.

    What are DCRs?

Well I know at one point of time you have been wondering or see people talking about DCRs and your so confused. Well DCRs are the client and all that makes it possible for you to be able to actually go onto your retro and play. So this is very important when you are creating a retro. (This is my explaination).

Why would I want to host my own DCRs?

Well if you want to host your own DCRs this will mean alot of good things for your retro. Why I say that? Because you will be able to add your own "Badges & Furniture". Really? Yes this is true, thats why it is manditory for a Retro Owner to host his or her own DCRs.

Ok thats enough on a little DCRs background, lets get to work.

Things you will need (Downloads Included)

Winrar (To extract .zip or .rar files. This is Manditory and is very much needed
    Download Winrar Here!

    Version 14 (Best IMO):
    v14.rar
    Version 18:
    v18.rar

FTP Client (I reccommend Filezilla FTP) Click Here to Download

Free Hosting Account (I reccommend t35.com) Also make sure that you activate your account or you will not be able to log onto your Free Hosting Panel. Click Here for it

Ok you downloaded them all? Your Ready to go? Your t35 website and hosting account is activated? Then lets really begin.

Now First off make sure Winrar is download and so are the dcrs. Open up the folder in Winrar and it should look like this:

Now you have that aswell? Go to your desktop and right click new > Folder > Name v18. Now go back to Winrar and right click all that is inside the folder and go to extract to specified location click that and look for your folder click and press ok.
    Should look like this:

Your all extracted? Great work your doing good so far. We are not done as yet. Now i want you to go to Start > All Programs now you should see Filezilla FTP Client (if you installed it correctly). Click it and open it. Now i am assuming that you already signed up for t35.com and your account is activated.
Filezilla FTP should look like this:

Yes Its blank because you have not connected to your server yet. This is what i want you to put in the top bar.
    Put this into topbar

You have done that? Very well. Now shall we continue? Ok we are almost done eh? Hahahaha.
After you did that (MAKING SURE THE PORT IS 21) Press QuickConnect. If you have connected properly you will get this
    Here:

You are connected? Nicely done you are going swift. Now all that is said and done i want you to do this.
    This:

Ok Now navigate On the left bottom Pane in Filezilla i want you to choose desktop and navigate to your DCRs folder that you did eariler. Open it and highlight everything in the folder "CTRL+A". Then i want you to open the v18 Folder in the Right Bottom Pane on Filezilla (Its Open?) Go back to all the elements you highlighted in the DCR folder put them into the v18 folder via Drag N Drop. Now this is going to take quite a while so I suggest you Post, make badges or chat with a friend.

    ======================================================PAUSE BREAK!======================================================

O.0 I see that you have returned?
Now before we are done with Filezilla look at failed transfers in Filezilla and make sure that nothing failed to upload? If it has "CTRL+A" and then right click > Reset and requeue selected files. Ok so its all uploaded now? You are almost there I must say that you did good so far so good. (Give yourself a breather & a Hand Clap or Scream whichever you prefer).

I want you to Go Here and log in via your website info. Your in? I see now navigate your self to your v18 folder and look for the external_varibles.txt.
You are there? look across on the same line as it is and click "EDIT".
Now this is the part that mostly contains if your client will or if it will not.
This is fairly easy. What i want you to do is open it up the first thing you will see is the figuredata. Grab the link Lost redirect (NOTE THIS IS AN EXAMPLE) You copied it? Ok now Hit the "CTRL+H" on your keyboard and it should comeupwith a little box.
It will ask Find what: http://ninjahotel.servegame.com/dcrs/v14 (This is where you put the link you copied just now)
Then Replace with: http://royalsuites.t35.com/v18(If you followed me correctly with this tutorial then you would put Metasearch Search Engine - Search.com). Now click Replace all, clicking that replaces all the links with that string to your link you added to "Replace with".
    Heres a Screenshot:

It will do a quick flash, that tells you that it already replaced all links to the ones you want. You can always recheck to see if it did it correctly. Almost done now, bear with me. Go to http://yoursite.t35.com and it should take you to your index and showing you the v18 folder. Click it and when it takes you there you should see all your files. Navigate to the external_vars.txt to see it. Copy and Paste the link in notepad. Go to external_texts.txt Repeat Copy and Paste Process again. Now scroll down a bit and look for habbo.dcr or w.e .dcr it is. It will load and your broswer will seem to appear frozen but its not. It takes a while to load
    It should show you this:

This tells you that your DCR is loading properly. Then it will go to this
    Here:

    Ok thats done?
Navigate to your loader and edit the links to your DCRs link save.
Start your server > Make sure IPs addressess are assigned properly. If its all good and you can create a new account SCREAM TO THE WORLD! you just hosted your own dcrs!
I really do hope this tutorial helped you out. If you are receving any problems please post here and I will attend to help you with them.
Took me a while to write up and take images but I had to do it to help out the Community.
Also can you please Rate Thread, Subscribe & Press the "Thanks Button".

    Nice tutorial! :)
By the way, if you're having problems when entering your T35 account & password, make sure to add the ".t35.com" after your username or the connection will fail. Just a heads up xD

I'm currently transferring the files with FileZilla, I have about 20 that failed to transfer, can I transfer those separately after I'm done with the others?

@ Joker, just select them all and reset queue and transfer them again. If they are not adding for some reason, then you can leave them.

@ Labbo, I did that for jokes. Now they used their brain.

There is only one DCR file, the rest are CCT's.
The DCR runs the client and reads off the CCT's (if i'm not mistaking) or some shiz like that lolz.
but yea, nice tutorial vLife ;)
