    Hello ragezone ;)

In this tut i'll be explaining how to portforward so others can connect to your client/game ;)

    Things you'll need..
    • The IP of your router
    • Your IPV4 Adress. I'll tell you where to get it.
    • The ports of your client. I'll tell you where to find them.
    • Brains. :)

First of all, you will need the IP of your router so you can login to it ;) The IP of your router is nearly always included @ The manual of your router. Or if you already know it, enter it in the adress bar ;)

A window will pop up saying you need to login, most of the time the username would be "admin" (No quotes), and the password would be "admin" (No quotes).

When logged in, search for something saying either "virt.serv" or something that looks like "portforward" ;) (Lol, this is the part where you need brains ^^).

Now, go to Your start menu and search for "cmd". Run it.
    Type in "ipconfig"
Now, search for "IPV4-adress" and write the number down (e.g. 192.168.0.106)

For help on that please see;http://www.picamatic.com/show/2011/04/26/12/20/7512096_bigthumb.png (Image)

Go to your EMU's config file and search for it's game TCP port. Write it down.

Go back to your router config (The portforward page).

    Now, fill in the following:
    • Local IP = The IPV4 Adress you just wrote down
    • Local Port = The port you just wrote down
    • Select type = TCP
    • Public port would be the same as Local Port

    Example: http://www.picamatic.com/show/2011/04/26/12/26/7512104_bigthumb.png (Image)

Well that's portforwarding.. wasn't that hard, uh? :)

If you still need any help please ask it here in this topic ;)

    Grtz,

EDIT: If you also have a MUS port in your EMU also forward that port.. And also forward port 80 because otherwise people can't acces your website.

You'll also have to forward the port of your DataBase, most likely being 3306.

If you mean your site isn't public, portforwarding isn't the way to make the SITE public. Portforwarding just makes sure people can connect to your client.

    To make your SITE public:

That makes the site itself public. But remember: To make others connect to your client, portforward!

    Re: PortFowarding

There is a file in your EMU that has configurations like: What MySQL host, MySQL password, Game Port, MUS port etc.. In that file you can find it. However i can't say where it is located because it's at a different location for all EMU's. What one are you using?
