How to setup PHPRetro [w/Pictures]
This is a tut for how to make a Phpretro
1a PHPRetro 4.0.10 Stable;

3c MySQL ODBC Driver 5.1;

4d Xampp Control Panel;

5e Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition;
http://www.microsoft.com/express/vcsharp/
6f TortoiseSVN;

We are gonna make your hotel Now
Section A; Downloading Holograph Emulator.
f7) Download TortoiseSVN and restart you're computer,
g8) Create a new Folder on you're desktop called ''Holograph Emulator''
h9) Right click on you're ''Holograph Emulator'' folder and then click ''SVN Checkout''
i10) Fill the first field with this link;
http://svn2.assembla.com/svn/holograph
Now you have come that far it should look like this:
5) Now click ok, Then wait until the uploading has finished.
Well Done; You now have Holograph Emulator Successfully installed.
Section B; Setting Up Xampp Control Panel.
f1) Download MySQL ODBC Driver,
g2) Download Xampp Control Panel,
h3) After installing Xampp Control Panel successfully open it and
Run Apache And Mysql And It Should Look Like This So Far;
4) Now go to
http://localhost if that does not work http://127.0.0.1 and select your language.
5)You must have xampp control panel running at all times.
6) Now go to http://localhost/security/xamppsecurity.php
if that does not work
http://127.0.0.1/security/xamppsecurity.php
7) Set-up a password here, this is important so keep you're password safe and secure, also never forget it. Then click Change Password option.
Well Done, You have successfully installed and set-up Xampp Control Panel.
Section C; Uploading PHPRetro.
1) Go to you're start menu bar. Search for this:
C:\xampp\htdocs
2) Delete everything from that folder.
3)Download PHPRetro from the downloads above and open it with WinRAR.
4) Unpack (Extract) PHPRetro into you're htdocs folder.
C:\xampp\htdocs
Well Done, You now have PHPRetro ready to be installed.
Section D; Setting Up The Database.
1) Go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin
2) Make a database called ''Holodb''
You should be looking at something like this;
3) When you have typed Holodb simply click enter.
4) You have now created a database but now we need to import the database.sql,
5) Click on you're database ''Holodb'' found on the left side bar and then click Import on the menu bar found to you're right.
You should be looking at something like this;
6) Now click choose file and then go to you're Holograph Emulator folder.
7) Go to Holograph Emulator\Resources\db\holodb.txt.
8) Select Holodb.txt and then click ''go'' at the bottom right of the screen.
9) This may take time depending on you're computer upload speed.
Well Done, You have now successfully created you're hotel's database.
Section E; Installing Your Hotel.
1) Go to you're Holograph Emulator folder located on you're desktop.
2) Go to Holograph Emulator \bin\debug\bin\mysql.ini
3) Open Mysql.ini in a text document;
NotePad.
4) Fill in all ur xampp/phpmyadmin details
it Should be looking at this so far;
5) Simply change where it says password to the password you set for you're xampp security.
/7 Click On Save Button Then ur Done With That
/8Now extract all ur phpretro stable to xampp/htdocs
/9 It would look like this so far;
/10 Go to whatismyip.com and copy ur ip and type it to a new browser.
/11 and it should come a phpretro install and fill out all information.
/12.when ur done Then ur done with ur PhpretroAnd then u can invite friends and host non ham or ham :)

this is more explanitory than Jaystoke's ... i am trying this right now but 1 thing is different! i already have a cms retro but i made it in a separate folder and made a new folder called PHPretro ...
its set up like this:
C:\ > Xampp > Htdocs > Tonehotel
..............................PHPretro

http://rapidshare.com/files/29534583....10-stable.zip Link work now And try it out and when u try to make new folder called phpretro it's better to have index things and that make sure everything is right and add some more codes and delete the holocms files and extract phpretro stable to htdocs and install it's like holocms but a bit harder ;)

Help, i cant start appache whats wrong?
hey i had the same problem it's cause of u have a fail with apache or u must restart ur computer i had the same fail i confiugred out really quick :D neither good luck with cms Remember Scr1pt3r ~ Always hope

what is the diffrent off PhpRetro and Holocms?
( bucuse i really liked the best one.. and i liked something like this: wiggyscape.no-ip.org/) Not ADVERTISING!
But, if i do like PhpRetro.. do i get a site like that and stuff?
How do i connect to my server, i have server running, and dcrs but there is always a connection problem in the client. How can i resolve that?
This error i am getting:
