So details on the new Intel Core i7 have been released completely today as intel's press embargo has expired. From the looks of things the who new design has improved performance like crazy and it looks like this processor is about to shake things up.

Clock to clock in 1core apps C2D still is the king. But in heavier multicore apps Core i7 rocks.
