Try using 3rd party programs

[Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]

They'll usually tell you exactly whats wrong.

Also, do you hear any clicking or loud noises coming from your HD?

Heya frozenrat ^^

its one of those programs i used ^^.

I dont hear any strange noises out of my HD. But let me explain.

My system spec (fast) is : 4GB ram... 8800GTX 768 MB, Xp Prof, Q6600Quadcore.

There is something wrong and i really think its my HD. Cause in WoW everytime it has to load something it freezes for like 6-7 sec.. even on low (with my pc that shouldent ever happen).

Also when i run farcry2 when i say to autodetect the specs it sets everything to Ultra High then when i try n play it every 1 min it freezes cause it needs to load again even on very low its the same story.

Now ive been told that CPU almost NEVER break down.

Also yesterday i did right click on my C:// then Extra's then Harddisk check it checks all errors etc.. it got to step 4 out of 5 and it kept stuck for 7 hours at 28% then i just gave up and rebooted my pc.

Now i ran that scan and it gives me that error.

Any advice? is it really my HD? or am i just being crazy ^^

Thanks for your time!

Are you playing for an extensive time before this happens?
If so that may be an overheating issue.
Check your temps in a program such as Rivatuner, Everest or SpeedFan.

Also, what is your power supply?
How many watts?
And whats the eff. rating?

It does seem like something is wrong with your hard drive, The best thing you can do is get another one and copy everything over.

If the problem still persists, Come back, and I'll offer any other help that I can.

It it only happens with loading new areas then yes something is either messing with your hard drives seek time, or it is ridden with errors.

Try a program like HDD Life Pro. It will give you the health of your hard drive. The trial only evaluates the C: drive so that's all you need really.
