I have recently screwed up my Hard Drive, When I boot windows it does a chkdisk thing on my D: that seems to never end going on about Restoring Orphaned Files, then when i cancled that and go to logon screen it had error saying Some _Restore[buncha numbers] file in D:\System Volume Information is corrupt, I was wondering If you could plug the IDE Ribbon into the hdd after the computer is fully booted (power allready to hdd)

...no. IDE devices aren't detected other than during system boot, unlike USB ones.

Your hard drive may be dying. Run a diagnostic such as MHDD ( ) to determine if there are any bad sectors.

1) You double posted username1
2) Try and get a copy of miniPE Dummeh, that should have plenty of options to fix up your drive :)
