Can my Motherboard can support DDR2 2GB 800frequency ?

From my limited knowledge, even if the RAM does 'work', it'll only run at 533MHz.

how about the frequency ?
only supports 667 below ? not 800 ?

That is the frequency...667..but even that won't run at 667 it wil be 533...so in other words...don't buy anything higher than 533 or you'll just be wasting money.

Thanks Monolith . i will buy DDR2 1GB ram 553 , hard to find DDR2 nowadays .

If 533 is hard to find 667 will be just fine, the motherboard will downclock the RAM to 533 & the timings will also lower. It -SHOULD- also be able to handle 800 it will again just downclock it to 533.

I have gone against the maximum freq allowed by a motherboard before...the machine would blue screen and crash about every 30 minutes or so. I would recommend just going up to 533...RAM is most of the time not returnable so if it doesn't work you'll just have wasted money.

But the decision is ultimately yours to make
