Well recently when i play some of the older games on my xbox, they tend to lag like hell. By older games i mean games like gears of war, graw and oblivion. At first i thought it was my internet, then i tried playing offline but its the same results in the end. Any suggestions or help?

How "new" is this xbox, and do you know what kind of chip it has inside of it? (Should be like Falcon, Hitachi, and other stuff.. Use YouTube.com to figure it out.) Also, how old are the games, and what kind of Xbox is it? Pro? Normal? Arcade? Elite? Halo 3 Edition? Also, how long has it been occuring? Also, by "lag" do you mean the framerate seems choppy?

This may sound crazy but i cleaned most of my discs with alcohol but one that u put on
skin and also clean it off clear. If you see shines then it will work , small trick i learned.
