Hello and good morning everyone.
My name is marit and I'm a software engineer married with my wife Ashley (3 months pregnant). I previously worked on large emulator projects such as Butterfly Emulator (bfly), butaflie, and have recently been working on butaflie emm v2.0. This emulator is a big game changer for the retro community for several reasons. First of all, it is open source so anyone can make as many renames they want of it by simply changing a few lines of code. Secondly, it uses new language features from PhP and avaJ (more known as Java) and follow basic OO patterns so most of you should be able to understand whats going on in there. It has gone through heavy testing with several thousands of users online, lint checkers, together with an extensive testing suite that has both integration and unit tests.
The server is written in PhP using NodeJS and compiles to avaJ for better performance. This was done because butaflie (1) was written in C# and uncle claudio did not approve this.
Features:
- Basic functionality (chat, room, catalog, messaging, etc.)
- Trax
- Ecotron
- Camera (thnx uncle Claudio)
- Supports latest SWF release
- Everything that Arcturus does minus the messy/broken butt implementations of database interaction and pretty much everything
- Bots
- Wired
- Battle Banzai
- Freeze
- Football
- Plugin support
- Facebook and LinkedIn integration
- Uses 12 MB of RAM by writing the allocated memory to disk using HDD FastCache TM (usage does rarely go above 20MB)
- Supports jSON
Compatible with most Uber-compliant CMSes

PS: sorry for butaflie 1 thread getting deleted xd and shoutout to my awesome wife Ashley for supporting me through this.
