I wouldn't do that. It's a big possiblility that it will leave exploits so people can get more credits / more rares. Even yifan_lu left exploits in phpretro and he was probably not doing that on purpose.

Could he not just make sure the user can only buy if online==0 ? Would that not solve that problem?

Probably(but that wasn't phpretro's problem), but he would also have to make sure that if he uses $_GET['itemid'] -- ?itemid=202 for example which is a throne he would have to make sure to do nobody can sql inject it :P

also he would have to make sure that the only id that they would be able to buy for example the id 205 or something, only the "weekly rare" and if he want's to be extra careful so it would be more secure and people shouldn't be able to know how to find the id, he should do $_GET['itemid'] / $number and add a new textbox in the housekeeping called secure or wtf he wants where people can make a number they want ex: 2505 and the id of the item would be mulitplied with the $_GET['itemid']
