Ragezone has its very own auction system.

To view/use the auction system start by typing:
.auction

This brings up the auction main page.

Active Auctions


From here you can see all of the current auctions up for bid.

Items in Green are items that you have put up for auction.
Items in Blue are items that you have bid on.

The first column is the item name/description. This will show the enchantment value if any. It will show the number of items if more than one.

For example look at the Majestic helmet is +7. Below that are 8 Blessed scrolls of escape.

Current Bid is how much the auction is at (or the start price) If you bid on the item you will have to bid more than this amount.

Buy Now option is either a - if there is no option to buy now, or it is a link. This gives you a chance to buy the item for a set price.

The currency shows what currency you will be bidding in. Options are: Adena, Ancient Adena and Event Gift Boxes.

And the ending date, shows when the auction is over. You can't bid past the end date.


Adding an item to the Auction:
To put an item up for sale in the auction, press the [New Auction] Link.

This will bring up a box for you to input for your auction:


Follow the directions and input accordingly.

First pick the number of hours you wish your auction to run. 1 hour - 168 (one week)

Next select the type of currency you are hoping to get for your item.
Adena
Ancient Adena
Event Gift Boxes

Now pick the starting bid amount. Remember they will have to bid more than this amount at least.

Next is the bid increment. This is how much the bidding has to go up each time. For example if the bid increment is 5, and someone has already bid 20, the next bid will need to be more than 25.

Finally on this page is the Buy Now Price. If you wish to have a Buy Now price enter that here. This would mean the first person who used this option would buy the item for the price you set.
If you choose not to use this option, enter 0.

When you are satisfied with these entries, select Continue to next page



Here you will first select the number of this item you wish to sell. If there is only one, this field will be ignored, however if this is a stackable item, such as scrolls, potions, etc, then this field needs to be filled in.

When you are completely sure you are ready to submit your auction, select the item that you would like to place up for sale.
All of the items in your inventory that are not: equipped will show up, unless they are not tradeable.

Once you click the item you wish to sell, it will be put up for auction, So make sure you have your information correct!

Once you click the item, you will get a confirmation that your item was listed.
However,If there were errors it will tell you in your system messages.


Your item will then appear on the Active Auction Page. (you'll have to reload that page to see it)

If someone wins, you will receive a mail, and at that time you will also receive the adena/ancient adena/or event gift boxes that were bid by the winning bidder.

If the bids are in Adena, please make sure that you won't go over the adena limit when the auction ends. If you go over the adena limit you risk losing it.

You will get a mail when the auction ends if no one has bid on your item, and the item will be returned to you.

Once an auction is ended, it has to be processed. This is done every hour (based on server restart). This processing is what gives out the items. The auctions will end when the time is up, but items are not handed out until it is processed by the system.


Bidding on Items
Click on the item that you wish to bid on.


The auction details will come up for that item. Verify that it is the correct item you wish to bid on, and click on bid window if you wish to bid.



Enter the amount you wish to bid, and click Place Bid.

The amount you bid will be immediately deducted from your inventory.
Your bid will be added.

If you get outbidded, you will receive a mail from the Auction System telling you that you were outbidded. You will receive your previous bid amount back in your inventory.

When the auction ends, if no one has outbid you, you will get a mail telling you that you won, and you receive the item when the auction is processed by the system.

Please make sure that you won't go over the adena limit if adena might be returned to you.

Buy Now
If you want to just Buy the item now, then pick the Buy Now link next to the item. This will bring up the Buy Now box.


Clicking Buy Now will deduct the buy now price from your inventory. When the auction is processed by the system you will receive a mail stating you won, and the item will go into your inventory. (you will probably have to relog to see it)



Ended Auctions
The ended auction page looks just like the Active Auctions, only it shows past auctions. You can not bid or Buy Now any of these items.


The auction system should be fairly straightforward if you have used any other auction system before. Just remember when you place an item up for bid, it removes it from you, and same is true if you bid. So make sure your inventory can accommodate if these items are returned to you. (Important with limits such as the amount of adena)
