Here are the common questions that people ask me about Hero:

How Do I get Hero?
First you must be a noblesse and compete in the Olympiad.
Learn more about noblesse [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]: it is a quest that you must do on your subclass.

After you are a noblesse you may participate in the Olympiad. The Olympiad runs from 20:00 - 24:00 server time daily (server time is GMT +1)

To get hero you must participate at least 9 times and win at least once. You also must have the most points for your class.

You can only participate on Your Main Class.

Ok so you are a Hero or your friend is a Hero...

I picked a Hero weapon but it is not what I want/or I want a different one:
Break yours, and get a different one. Just enchant it until it breaks.

My friend wants to see my Hero weapon: but I cant put it in Trade:
Exactly, You can't drop or trade Hero weapons.

How long am I a Hero?
Until the 19th of next month. If you win again, you are hero again, if not, you will lose it. Hero is a month.

Any more questions, please add them: Thanks

Adding to the guide.

1. About the Olympiad Competition

On RaGEZONE, Olympiad competition starts daily at 18:00 and ends at 00:00. The competition goes on for an entire month before the new heroes are chosen. New heroes are chosen on the 1st of each month, at 12:00 PM server time (GMT+1). There are 31 classes that players can compete for and there can only be 1 hero from every class at one given time.

2. Competing in the Olympiad

In order to compete in the Olympiad, first you must be a [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] character. Once you are, you must register at a Olympiad Manager while being on your main class after the daily competition starts.
Olympiad Managers are in every town around the world of Lineage2. You will see them standing next to a Olympiad Monument that displays the list of all current heroes and the number of times they have been heroes.

2.1 Choosing a competition block

There are two ways you can join the competition. First, joining the class-based games, where you can only be matched versus opponents of the same class as you, or non-class defined, where you can be matched with any player registered in this type of competition regardless of their class distinction.
There is a requirement for how many need to be registered on each of the two before matches can begin. In class based you need 4 or more people of your class while in non-class defined competition you need 6 people to be registered at least before matches can begin. Numbers are estimative, since this is a custom setup, I can't say exactly how the Devs set them up.

2.2 Getting ready for the match

When your opponent has been chosen (randomly, by the system) the match can start. You will get a system message that alerts you about being moved to the arena in 120 seconds. The system alerts you again 60 seconds prior to the teleport to the arena, 30 seconds, 15, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 second before and after you are teleported.
Once inside all the abnormal states (buffs) of your character will be cancelled and you have another 60 seconds before the match begins.
Opponents start on opposite sides of the arena in a small closed room. Inside a NPC manager is spawned where you can aquire 5 buffs of your choice. During this time you can use your selfbuffs, change your armor/weapon setup and summon servitors/cubics.
10 seconds prior to the match beginning the CP/HP/MP of both Opponents will be fully restored (not servitors) and the gates are lifted. Match is ready to begin.

2.3 Playing, winning and loosing.

Match has started, and your opponent's name is shown for the first time. You can also see his CP and HP bars on the opponent window. The fight will go on until one of the players dies or until the match time is up, whichever comes first. Maximum allowed time for a match is 5 minutes. If a player cannot kill his opponent during this time the winner will be the player who has dealt more damage to his opponent throughout the match (damage dealt to and by servitors does not count for this).

Upon winning a player earns 1/5 of his opponents Olympiad Points in the non-class defined competition and 1/3 of his opponent Olympiad Points in the class-based competition. 30 Noblesse Gate Passes are also awarded to the winner each time a match has ended.

If two players do not want to fight each other and no damage has been dealt during a match, the match will end in a TIE after the time expires thus none of the players gains or looses Olympiad Points, instead they both gain 1 Olympiad match.

3. Winning the Hero status

To become a hero of your class you must have more points than all the people in your class who meet the requirements to become a hero (9 matches played and at least 1 victory). That means you can also become a hero with 1 point and being last on your class' ranking list if the other people do not meet all the requirements (matches or victories).

4. Advantages of being a hero

4.3 Noblesse Gate Passes

After completion of the montly Olympiad period, players who are chosen to be Heroes have 24 hours to change their Olympiad Points into Noblesse Gate Passes. This is done at the Olympiad Manager. After 24 hours this option expires and the points cannot be exchanged anymore.

Once the points are exchanged, heroes can purchase items from the Olympiad Manager with the use of Noblesse Gate Passes, as well as use the special teleports from Gatekeepers (on RZ this does not require passes, only Noblesse status). The items you can buy are Scrolls of Enchant: Armor/Weapon from C grade to S grade as well as Codex Masteries and Class specific Circlets that can only be worn while on the matching class.

4.4 Abilities and Advantages

Heroes also gain access to aditional abilities. When fighting the owner of one of the cursed weapons (Zariche and/or Akamanah) a hero may remove the entire CP of its target upon the use of physical attack or physical attack skills.

Once a hero, a players rank will also increase, wheather he is a member of a clan or not. Clan members who become heroes may benefit from all clan skills besides those who only apply to the clan leader, in the eventuality that the hero is not a clan leader himself.

A new chat channel will be available, which can only be used by Heroes. This chat is accessible by using the % symbol.
