Mechanician hammer =D

Hi there :hello: I give you another hammer, again a nostalgic (and very simple) for priston fans XD.. the mechanician hammer :smash: XDD (that hammer from the first artwork).

(Original artwork and hammer with 2 (reflex) effects)

(Mr. Verkan blessing the (un effected) hammer on its drop position XD)


OBS: Effected version does not accept age/mix effect. (but it accepts the lvl 100 quest weapon glow)

kind of stupid imo.

-Model.

-UVW.jpg (save as "name_on_ase".TGA).(its for anyone that would want to change the texture )

Nice idea. You got a little error (advice based on your screen shot). You can fix it moving the "pivot". And if it's 2 hands, you maybe have to rotate the pivot. Maybe you wanted to do it later.

Oh, its that i always take the screen shots just after being teleported, i just happen to like that pose for 'clean' shots of the item XD , but here is one on the holding position:

I understand what you have said, and i think that from a little longer on than this hammer (and beyond) i certainly would have to rotate the mesh axis. (in fact, probably not, just if i would add it as a pike)

And the mech skill hit is a little different from the artwork, i thought it would be just alike but not all things are lily gardens (but its hard to get a good screenshot of a frame of the skill XDD):

But i think this need to rotate the axis apply more to scythes (pikes/pole arms , resuming, the Pikeman's weapons XD)... (just payed a little more attention to that image above right now :lol2 ah, i think that since the hands are closer in the case of the hammer(in comparison with the holding style of the pole arms, which has a wider distance between hands), and that he holds the hammer much like a sword, probably we do not need much to worry on rotating the axis.

Mm.. but i was just imagining here.. if the holding style used on pole arms would be more appropriated or stylish to hammers, since the hammer's head would be, so to say, ergonomically difficult XD to maintain on that position for some time uhuhu XD



@edit: Mm.. the holding style used on pikes certainly would be more appropriated that the current 2 hand hammer holding style. I can't imagine how could i block in a battle situation, wielding the hammer on this(current) way (i wouldn't ever move the hammer to a blocking position in time, and even if i could, the weight on the hammer head would decrease dramatically the efficiency of the blocking (if i would block (wielding the hammer on this style) a strong blow coming from a high weight (claymore style) sword, the weight of the hammer body would be pressed against me, and the blade would probably follow the way trough my shoulder, holding the hammer on this particular way, to block a strike coming from an identical hammer would be godlike). Holding the hammer with a larger space between the hands (and on a position similar to the pike holding position) would actually use the hammer head weight momentum to increase the blocking efficiency (because of the same weight that would be harmful to the block on the current hammer holding style)..

Unless that hammer is polystyrene, you could not hold it as the top illustration of your last post.

You could not wield it like that, unless the still image is captured in full swing, with the Mech in mid "roundhouse". At which point, I hope both his gloves and the handle of the hammer are very tacky rubber, or the thing will slide out of his hands.

Sadly, the Mech doesn't use a hammer like that. If he where, I would suggest that that hammer needs a very large pommel, both to balance holding and prevent the handle slipping.

Never-the-less. This is fantasy fiction, and the Mechanition is a Mecha-magi in the PT world. So if he wants to have a hammer with anti-gravity, or quantum-momentum generators in it... he can.
