Nexon shouldn't give a fuck about any private server. Their own server is getting screwed up because of hackers and dupers. That's the reason people leave to play private servers, because the official game servers are getting worse.

=/ More on-topic this thread was way more helpful than it should have been. All I really care for is the "development" opposed to actually just running my own server. Now that I've finished reading all this I gathered enough of a census to just host up the server for friends/family. My thoughts towards avoiding publicity is to make the server invite only, stay off of ranking/advertisement sites and keep personal informal as anonymous as possible.
As for you OP...the fact that your server is "out there" has already made it a liable target no matter what anyone says...it's just a matter of time. Try whatever you can though.
Edit: That's if I ever actually can keep one online long enough. (That's never gone well with me) Never was too lucky with that as far as having a reliable host/staff goes.
