Is the private server community dead?

I've been looking at private server community lately, not just for MapleStory it all seems to be dying down. WoW servers are dying slowly, the MS section is pretty much dead. And some other games seem to be dying out.

Is it time to move on, I'm not sure if I should move on from the private server community.

and +1 to Whatever Diamondo said, the Private Server Development is still lively for Maplestory, Public Development is dead as no one bothers to release anything nor does anyone feel like they should learn. more over so, they're just leeching ;s
