helow, i am not able to connect to my server as client, i tried everything that people said, disabled firewall, skype, eset. changed the ip to the hamatchi's ip and wamp is online, the mysql is up too.

Planning to set this up...as for MS v1.17, does it need to be GMS or can it be EMS? Or what I'd rather like to know, does the IP-block for GMS include private servers or can I just download any v1.17 for this?

-2147xxxxxx %1 error's from your client relate to your WZ. It means your missing a map, or an object within the map and it dc's you. Just change the map/portal and you won't dc.

its the 2nd map from phantom class,so i cannot pass through unless i use a teleport,now my char is bugged there,guess i should delete,remake it and use gm teleport command...
there are also some warps that doesnt work at all

Not sure what you're missing then if it's a phantom map. You can change your mapid through the database. Just make it 910000000 to warp you to the FM and you won't dc.

Maps that you can't warp to are maps that don't exist in your server version and/or the XML does not exist in your wzxml folder. (wz/Map.wz/mapid.img.xml)

Alright, got everything running, updated the code to v117.2 so it'd support Win8. Launched the server, Hamachi is on, edited the IP's etc propperly, Wamp running etc, now when I click the v117.2 Launcher (in the v117.2 MS folder which I downloaded) nothing happends. First it said something like 'Can't connect to the server. This might be caused by your Firewall or the servers are offline' or something like that. Then after I restarted my PC it just doesn't do anything anymore lol.

Not familiar with netsh, or redirect. I am also running the server on the same machine I am connecting to/from. also noted running windows 8.1 on this machine, and have already replaced the maplestory.exe to fix the compatibility

I'm not entirely sure replacing the .exe is necessary,
but here's a link to a redirect you can use: Localhost IP Redirect Client
Drop that into your MapleStory folder and run as administrator. Then follow the instructions.
