Re: [Guide]How to PortForward

Hey. Nice guide! It works fine. But still my friends cannot connect. After port forwarding my LAN IP Adress do I hex edit my client to that? Or to my computers WAN IP? Also. My internet is encrypted, would that have ANY effect at all? Is there anyway to get around that without shutting the encryption off? Help please :D Thanks

Re: [Guide]How to PortForward

Just so the people who DON'T know what port forwarding is, here's a link to the wikipedia page explaining why it's used, and in some cases, a very good choice.

Re: [Guide]How to PortForward

Dark that means that your connection cannot connect to your loginserver.bat
Make sure that you have Portforwarded.
Anyone else having errors Here is a simple Scope to follow
TCP:8484
UDP:8484
TCP:7575
UDP:7575

And if you are running 2 channels also run ports:
TCP:7576
UDP:7576

Also if you suddenly portforward and cannot make a character run these ports:
TCP:8888
UDP:8888

i hope this shows you in a 'Simple' man quickie guild.

Re: [Guide]How to PortForward

Ruletype means redirecting to your router.
Protocol means whether it is TCP, UDP etc... they are the only ones you need to worry about
local address i gather is from your IP. to find out theses details google it or create shortcut~cmd run it and type in ipconfig
Rule ID i gather is just the name of your port. Local port and destination ports are the ports you must portforward. look at my above post for the ports to forward.

For more information on your router goto
