Re: [Guide] Setting Up - Microsoft Loopback Adapter

Hi,

I'm done with all the steps been taught here into my server. But what if i using a direct connection to the internet without broadband router in between my computer and modem? cause i can't get the microsoft loopback to work, and it kept acquiring ip address and with invalid ip address at support tab. what should i do?

lets say my current ip address is like this
ip address: 123.123.123.123
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 123.123.123.1

I just did it yesterday.
Dont select the one asking for IPv6, find the one asking for IPv4 and follow the guide.

Re: [Guide] Setting Up - Microsoft Loopback Adapter

Need some help, Ive followed everything you have said AND everything that guy has said on his thread on how to fix login, charselect and all of that. But I still cannot select the character. Maybe ive done something wrong with channels or world properties or something... anyway here is a screenshot of everything.

If you cannot read that, ill type out what it says also.

For WORLD.BAT
The whole thing is blank

For LOGIN.BAT
There is the constant update of the times and amount of users who can log in

For CHANNEL.BAT
It says (And i think this is where things are goin wrong)
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -2
at net.sf.odinms.net.PacketProcessor.registerHandler(PacketProcessor.java:134)
at net.sf.odinms.net.PacketProcessor.reset(PacketProcessor.java:221)
at net.sf.odinms.net.PacketProcessor.getProcessor(PacketProcessor.java:140)
at net.sf.odinms.net.channel.ChannelServer.run(ChannelServer.java:220)
at net.sf.odinms.net.channel.ChannelServer.main(ChannelServer.java:501)

Please help me!
Thanks!

*EDIT* I am using Vista, and i had to do the IpV4 or whatever but it still doesnt work
Feel free to PM a solution to me if you choose! Thank you!

Re: [Guide] Setting Up - Microsoft Loopback Adapter

not sure if this helps I tried the guide it didn't work for me, I found this today

For my talk at the SF launch I need to do a demo of a client computer calling a SharePoint server. Since I have one computer to do this on, I have to run the server inside a VPC and install the client software on the host computer. Then I need to use the Microsoft Loopback Adapter to connect these two. Here is the details on how to install and configure the Microsoft Loopback Adapter on Windows Vista.
1. Install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter
Control Panel
