Ok...update 1 fixed the below spoiler.

Ok..everything installed fine....starts up fine..I can create an account using the Account tools...I select WotLK but when I log in it says I dont have BC so I cant create BElves and cant create a DK cause it says I dont have WotLK...I'm using a clean 3.3.5a client.

Also it seems very laggy...and with my specs it shouldnt be at all:

Now with the new update opposite faction bots are spawning in starting areas as level 80's and killing all the quest givers and the guards don't attack them.

Seems to have memory leaks somewhere...after about an hour of playing mangos was using 9 gb of RAM and Windows was bitching about closing stuff down...once it hit 10 gb it crashed completely.

Oh, it needs to be an admin account? I just had it as a regular member.

Alright, new problem. When I search for my account name in the advanced account tool, it says "unknown database 'auth,'" or "Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts." Only problem is, that Single Player Project does all of the MySQL stuff automatically (or so it seems, since I didn't actually have to do anything to start playing). Is there anything I have to do to get it working?

You can have an admin account...you just have to remake a new one because the admin account thats provided with the software wasn't created with WotLK or BC flagged for gameplay.

Just create a new account admin or regular and use the drop down box to flag it for WotLK.

If you want to access the databases this uses you can download SQLyog and when its running access MySQL and edit the databases.

Alright, just created three new accounts. One for WOTLK, one for Cataclysm, and one for Burning Crusade, and I STILL can't create a Blood Elf or Dranei.

Simple fix:

USE auth; //Or realmd, whatever this server uses for the auth DB
UPDATE accounts SET expansion = 3 WHERE GUID = 0;

Since tables are generally auto increment, the master (Usually) account is GUID 0. If the server uses different table names, to figure which you can use SHOW TABLES; and if the column names are irregular, SHOW COLUMNS; once you've found the correct table.

Additional note: I've seen people having trouble logging into the MySQL console. The syntax is kind of stupid but in case nobody knows how, go to your MySQL installation folder and find mysqld.exe in the bin folder. Or if during installation, you set it to add MySQL to the PATH, just press Win+R and type mysql (Or mysqld, I forgot which) and type:

mysql --user=root -proot mysql

There is no space between "-p" and "root," it's not a typo, hence why the syntax is really stupid. Change both "roots" to whatever username/password the server requires (Check config files if you don't know the credentials).

Finally, if the server comes stock with a bunch of accounts and 0 is not a level 3 GM, try:

SELECT GUID FROM account WHERE gmlevel = 3;
UPDATE account SET expansion = 3 WHERE GUID = #; //Whatever GUID was listed from above command

I'm going by pure memory here so if anything is incorrect, I apologize in advance. I don't have MySQL or a server on this machine.

Final edit: Or I suppose, you could just run "UPDATE account SET expansion = 3;" without specifying a condition. This will update all entries in account to expansion 3.



Or the quickest way. Set skip grant tables and log into MySQL with no credentials.

Alright, I've got everything fixed now. Just needed to use that SGLyog thing to edit what expansion the account had. Kind of weird that the character creator kept making them vanilla, though. Oh well.
