The Database.exe and Certifier.exe and World.exe keep crashing. I get no error logs other than Trans is not live. Any ideas on what is going on with it?

Is it mandatory that I use SQL Server 2012+ or can I still use SQL Server 2008? Why is it required to be so new? Thanks
