Have you configured ACE and installed network adapter? I going now sleep but i start morning and get more configs...

Most worst part is rewriting the database. That is not included and as i seen you cant compile too.

Its more than 1 month to replicate a semi working release :/ But do not give up!

It is clear and evident that these files Sources does not work, missing files from ESTsoft necessary for the operation, missing libraries is missing lines, has many bugs and errors, these files with the maximum that anyone will achieve is to lose many days of messing in life a dead project because lack Database, lack much, I could post pictures of the missing files to run more I will not, I will not raise false hopes in this topic, it is difficult for humans to understand that when another human being's something for free it is clear that he expects something in return.

Or everyone here is naive enough to believe that it came to this topic to post this portion of sources without expecting something in return.
It is Obvious that he can not do it alone and that someone posted here to try to make easy for him, only what he does not know is that these are neither Sources about 10% of the files needed to put EP8 Online the maximum they can achieve with this is to lose a lot of time working to launch a emproviso deficient tops EP2

GOD, everyone, did really someone read the entire first post? Are you really blind all of you? Did you read what NOTE says? This is just a part of release.

Really i can't wait to see yours little pretty faces when the repack will be released ^^.

all the files on this rar are exactly the same that charapadu has posted early with a password, and has the same modification date (the content of the two rar files are exactly the same). I think that Pier32, who has asked for help from developers early, decided to release the src.rar content because he cant make it work, maybe because the src leaked are incomplete. Somehow he was able to crack the src.rar password.
Anyway maybe with some hard work we can make this work

@cadena, i can guarantee that is not him. He is too selfish to do even that. I already tried to get source from him since i helped him a lot. He will never do such a thing. ;)

@cadena, oh really? No one ever belived that at least source will be released and look it did. So now give him at least couple of days. Making a repack its not that easy mate ;).

TBH I very much doubt that there are many people out there who will be able to make much sense of this.

There is a period where a team of enthusiasts or professional programers form and have fun, (maybe) releasing it in a form of good to go for others, those that really don't know what to do can then also have a part of this incredible exp.

This is all very exciting,
I will continue my newbie work on EP2, so much to explore and learn, so much fun. :thumbup:

Through time great ideas came from selfishness. In this case managing to get your hands on EPX > EP2. If someone else did it, you can too, so you better get working on it instead of waiting for stuff to fall from the sky.

It's not up to you to decide whether the files should be released.Constantly looking for people on hacking forums to grab those files won't do the trick either. After all, it's all business.

Any instructions need to do something with this. Which ACE version accept. Ace needed to complire or just sources need and much more ask have with this. This kill my brain. I have complied ACE for it but say the VS "e:\src\netlib\processlayer.h(7): fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'ace/Containers.h': No such file or directory" I have taked all files into all directorys.

(config.h included to ace directory too.)

Yes, you have to compile ACE and include it into your VS project. For more details about how to work with ACE in VS look .
Edit: As I said before you will also need need the boost c++ libraries.

linux is better way to run a cabal server or any other server, i dont understand why persons wanna make or change it to windows.

Compiled Netlib and LoginSvr with a few fixes. Looks like LoginSvr is working and terminates immediately, because GlobalMgrSvr is offline.

Above my post, AkiSora posted one fix, and for all warnings need to do these steps on every project:
  1. right click on project and press properties
  2. go to Configuration Properties - > C/C++ - > Preprocessor Definisions
  3. add there after _EX_ this: _CRT_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS
  4. go to C/C++ - > General - > Detect 64bit Portability isues
  5. check No

Also, need to compile Ase_wrappers on MSVC9. After that, just include Ase_wrappers folder with all libs and includes in project, or just copy ace\ folder to MSVC9 includes folder, ex.: my destination would be: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include"

Same is with boost. And important! Boost libraries must be compiled for MSVC9 or LoginSvr or other daemons won't compile.

Dunno, if anyone needs - i can share compiled ace and boost libraries on win7 x64.

Also, looks like LoginSvr config file is same as EP2.
