I can connect to the database with CabalGMTools and BeGa Admin Tool every thing works fine, but the damn services wil not start!
tried manualy start them xxx times ... stil stopped imediatly.
Do you have Yahoo ID so we can talk better pls ...

Which repack are you using now? Try to do manually service ChatNode_01 restart.

Post your logs from /var/log/cabal. It is unusual that the services would not start if isql Connected!.

You said that you have 'manually edited the files in the etc folder and etc/cabal'.

There is absolutely no need to do that at the start in either of repacks.

In GlobalMgrSvr.log there is
[##ERROR##] connect 0.0.0.0:0 fail (not sure why, my ssd has issues so I cant test)

Most important is in AuthDBAgent.log
[##ERROR##] DB ERROR(MSG) : [unixODBC][FreeTDS][SQL Server]Cannot open database "Authentication" requested by the login. The login failed
[##ERROR##] Database Connect Fail (uid=xx;pwd=xxxx;dsn=Authentication;APP=AuthDBAgent)

AuthDBAgent is the first service that runs, so there should be no problems. You must have messed up something, run cabal install again and reenter the Info in the cabal config command.

MySQL? You sure its not MSSQL? Have you installed MSSQL exactly like the guide from Extornia tells you?

Strange, well,.. I'm no expert but from the logs all I see is that many services cant connect to port 38170 which is GlobalMgrSvr and AuthDBAgent having problems connecting with MSSQL.

Cabal is very annoying to run, one example is when you find in the networking a duplicate of eth0 bak. No matter if you delete all of them and create a new eth0 network settings, the world srv will not show up in the server menu windows when you restart the services.

The world service somehow chooses the old eth0 or something which does not even exist anymore or is stuck somewhere,.. rare occasion.

This issue occurs when you move the VM file around, changing MAC address, network, the only easy fix is to then reinstall CentOS.

Sorry for the late post! Everything works good, i had a typing error in the database ... sorry for that! Thank you for your help ...
I have to find some other things to solve now! Good luck in further developments!

nadiell ... you say that your channels don't appear, if you install the server right you should have only one channel after like 2 min after the server is started!
try using your CentOS IP for players to connect ... if i put my internet IP there i can't connect to the server!

i now it is possible to play from outside the LAN ... but my server if for testing for the moment and is behind 2 routers and a ADSL internet connection (no static IP for this connection, changes from time to time)... so ... till i will get all things done it is just for testing new stuff ... when i will get all things done i will contract other internet provider for a normal connection or a optic fiber one to get my server online for others to play the game as it should be ... not the screwed up game the GMs made from the original one! TY all for your help and very good tutorials! great work ... keep it that way!

cabal_start is a symbolic link command to cabal_start.sh, all of the services are listed there with a start delay between each other.
ln -sf /home/cabal/cabal_start.sh /usr/bin/cabal_start

server_list is still being used as usual except for the service cabal start and CentOS boot which without the cabal_start.sh wont work.

Code:
daemons=`cat /etc/cabal/server_list | grep -v ^#`

# See how we were called.
case "$1" in

[B] start)
	/home/cabal/cabal_start.sh
        ;;[/B]
  stop)
	for daemon in $daemons
	do
		echo -n "Shutting down $daemon: "
		killproc $daemon
		echo
	done
        ;;

If you prefer a built in start delay between services in /init.d/cabal then you can check out:
http://forum.ragezone.com/f460/service-cabal-new-commands-925020/ by hefajstos

I will add cabal_logdel and maybe adapt some of the stuff, with full credits off course!
I prefer short links to sh scripts.

If you want to do service WorldSvr_hardcore start then you will have to symbolically link it first.

ln -sf /etc/init.d/cabal_server /etc/init.d/WorldSvr_01_16
