Cabal EP8 Server v0.1.0.0 beta for CentOS 6.4 is now available.

Changes/Features
- The package uses a local CentOS repository for offline package installation.
- The start up now uses a 6 second delay before chat node
- cabal init.d now uses cabal_start.sh instead
- All of the annoying installation, startup and shutdown issues are fixed
- Vikalitan event with status bar
- KomeKeto's buffer configuration that improves speed/performance by using more memory, other missing configurations added
- Most if not all of the errors that occur during start-up are now resolved
- 20 different channel templates (pending)
- Crond preconfigured for NationWar, special channel, cabal and network service restart if crash (beta)
- Startup and shutdown of cabal service perfected
(Services now stop in the opposite order and crond starts last and stops first as well, which prevent the service script from restarting the cabal)
- Changed drop-able only Items (with option 0 only or what ever it was) to cannot drop, client side also
- Added cabal_restartlog which deletes all of the files inside the cabal log folder and restarts the services
- All of the txt config files are now in Unix format, as a resoult,.. the crond now works out of the box
- The installation disables the following services (beta)
chkconfig auditd on
chkconfig messagebus on
chkconfig restorecond on
chkconfig haldaemon on

chkconfig sshd on
service sshd start

chkconfig iptables off
service iptables stop
chkconfig iptables6 off
service iptables6 stop

chkconfig crond off
service crond stop

chkconfig netfs off
chkconfig NetworkManager off
chkconfig blk-availability off
chkconfig cabal off
chkconfig crond off
chkconfig lvm2-monitor off
chkconfig mdmonitor off
chkconfig postfix off
chkconfig spice-vdagentd off
chkconfig udev-post off

For a bare minimum I have found out that only those services must run in order for CentOS 6.4 to function normally
Enable only:
ip6tables 0:eek:ff 1:eek:ff 2:eek:n 3:eek:n 4:eek:n 5:eek:n 6:eek:ff
iptables 0:eek:ff 1:eek:ff 2:eek:n 3:eek:n 4:eek:n 5:eek:n 6:eek:ff
network 0:eek:ff 1:eek:ff 2:eek:n 3:eek:n 4:eek:n 5:eek:n 6:eek:ff
restorecond 0:eek:ff 1:eek:ff 2:eek:n 3:eek:n 4:eek:n 5:eek:n 6:eek:ff
sshd 0:eek:ff 1:eek:ff 2:eek:n 3:eek:n 4:eek:n 5:eek:n 6:eek:ff
syslog 0:eek:ff 1:eek:ff 2:eek:n 3:eek:n 4:eek:n 5:eek:n 6:eek:ff
auditd 0:eek:ff 1:eek:ff 2:eek:n 3:eek:n 4:eek:n 5:eek:n 6:eek:ff
messagebus 0:eek:ff 1:eek:ff 2:eek:n 3:eek:n 4:eek:n 5:eek:n 6:eek:ff
- Cabal should now work in VMware Workstation (v8.0.1) using CentOS 6.4 :thumbup:

I was/still am configuring the default config from the Templates\20 so I need to copy them over to other folders and add the templates copy command. (cabal_chan20, cabal_chan1 etc,..)

By executing the command you will be asked for confirmation, the old template files will be removed and the new ones will be copied from the template folder where you will have to reenter your cabal_config data.

I'm preparing to go work abroad in Germany next weekend for 10 days, I really hope to squeeze in my old laptop somewhere so I can lurk on Ragezone. :D:

I will add the templates before I go.

the bottom line problem is that you are trying to run and/or install 32-bit (i686) packages on a 64-bit (x86_64) system which is not a good idea. For example, if you were trying to run the 32-bit version of Perl on a 64-bit system, the result would be something like

perl: /lib/ld-linux.so.2: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory

Maybe your DNS is not set,
but more likely its because I forced the CentOS-Base.repo to use baseurl= only, mhrm.

Heres the original one for restoration,
Code:
# CentOS-Base.repo
#
# The mirror system uses the connecting IP address of the client and the
# update status of each mirror to pick mirrors that are updated to and
# geographically close to the client. You should use this for CentOS updates
# unless you are manually picking other mirrors.
#
# If the mirrorlist= does not work for you, as a fall back you can try the
# remarked out baseurl= line instead.
#
# [B]etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo[/B]

[base]
name=CentOS-$releasever - Base
mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=$basearch&repo=os
baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/os/$basearch/
gpgcheck=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-6
#baseurl = file:///root/rpm-install32/

#released updates
[updates]

gpgcheck=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-6

baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/extras/$basearch/
gpgcheck=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-6
#baseurl = file:///root/rpm-install32/

#additional packages that extend functionality of existing packages
[centosplus]
name=CentOS-$releasever - Plus
mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=$basearch&repo=centosplus
baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/centosplus/$basearch/
gpgcheck=0
enabled=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-6
#baseurl = file:///root/rpm-install32/

#contrib - packages by Centos Users
[contrib]
name=CentOS-$releasever - Contrib
mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=$basearch&repo=contrib
baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/contrib/$basearch/
gpgcheck=0
enabled=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-6
#baseurl = file:///root/rpm-install32/

You have probably messed up the installation.

Run,
./cabal_install32.sh for 32bit CentOS
or
./cabal_install64.sh for 64bit CentOS

all of the RPMs should already be included, no download or internet connection needed, the requirements and tests are posted on the first post.

Im going to guess that you installed ./cabal_install64.sh for 64bit CentOS on a 32bit CentOS since the previous problem was partially resolved via glibc-2.12-1.107.el6.i686, this wont work.

chmod 0700 cabal_install32.sh
./cabal_install32.sh
for 32 bit

chmod 0700 cabal_install64.sh
./cabal_install64.sh
for 64bit

What CentOS are you running, If you are unsure which version of CentOS you have the run this,

cat /etc/centos-release;uname -m

and post the result here.
The missing libraries are present in the 64bit repack but not in the 32bit.

Natively the libstdc++.so.6 is already installed by the CentOS so It was not included, sry.

I still have to check all the libraries from the binaries and include them RPMs regardless.

Edit:
I had success now reproducing the InitializeGlobals.
