here are my logs plz check them im in serious need :*:

The nationwar ones? How is the server going to get war results when you have not yet run TG? Ignore them or run TG at least once to create some results.

The other can be ignored. When the server starts the processes they are being a bit slow to start and some come up earlier than others and fail to connect to other processes until the have started.

There is too much unrelated info in the logs and i need to see a full set showing the login process so i can track the attempt through the files.

Do a "service cabal stop" and delete the logs from /var/log/cabal. Now do a "service cabal start" and try logging in two or three times. Now zip those logs and post them and they will contain only the info i need and nothing extra to confuse me (which is easy to do :p).

All i can tell from that is that the worldsvr took a little time to connect to other services. There is one error that has an ip address i wouldn't expect, check AddrForServer= in your worldsvr ini as it should be 127.0.0.1 and i think it isn't.

Thw wancheck message can be ignored it is just an info message, mainly so i know it is still being called if disabled (for debugging).

Are you using sql2000? I would expect that output from 2000 but not 2005. The server can't connect to the db and the usual reason for that is sql2005 express being configured wrong, either as a named instance or having remote connections disabled.

If you have 2000 check the windows firewall is off (it should be as the ping works), the mssql serice is running (if you can open query analyser it is so i doubt it is that) and the ip address in /etc/odbc.ini is correct.

If using 2005 check remote connections are enabled in the surface area config tool and see if "\sqlexpress" appears in the server name at the top left of management studio.

I need to see logs as it could be any one of a dozen reasons. See first post for instructions.

This depends entirely on what sort of setup you have (router/modem). Again logs are needed.

You don't need the cabalauth with my files as it is already included.

I can't see any connection attempts in your logs so the client is not even getting that far. If you are using the batch file to load the client and internal.txt is correct then it must be your network settings.

If you have a router try LAN addresses first in case your router isn't capable of hosting (not all are) to be sure your config is correct and when that works switch back to the WAN address.

If you only have a modem then it's your vmware network settings and you probably didn't forward ports under the vmware network adapter.

Look at my vmware networking guide at as it explains more.
