How to edit droprates correctly (aka MF/PF drop fix)

Then you prolly didnt edit it with crimson editor and thus you server cant understand whats in the file try to download crimson editor (in chumpys release section near the bottem) and edit all server files with that. Remember to make backups of everything before testing.

Also his guide dont suck you just have trouble understanding k thanx bye =)

Ok Chumpy I got a question, I have a hardcore chan and its all custom.. Custom mobs/bosses in each map well just maps 1-3 for now and maps 4-10 i saved with openoffice so that it wouldnt load the mobs

Anyways Im creating custom drop list for each world by copying all the maps 1-10 terrain files and renaming them like world1-30-terrain.scp and I also edited the common30.ini to load that files, that part is good and it works quiet well for common drops

Now since i have custom bosses in these worlds I want them to drop cool things ofcourse and lets say BI boss drops Blue BIke I would set it like this correct?

Ok so this should tell the server that 714(my BI boss) will drop a blue bike, Well say I wanted it to be account binding on pickup I would edit the itemopt or the optpool? and my last question is what is an easy way of finding the options to use if I wanna create custom drops like 1 slot of amp for 1 map and 2 slot of amp for a harder map? What would I use to get this ItemOpt's or OptPoolID?

so with notepad can not be edited files ? ... i think trouble is another one can not be edited all items ... cause changing those opt this crashes WorldSvr ...

The guide is perfectly fine. It's your brain that's obviously not complete. DO NOT SAVE THE SCP FILES IN CRLF! This means DO NOT use Wordpad or Notepad to edit the files. Instead, use a text editor that can edit Unix text files (Crimson Editor, NotePadPro, etc.). NEVER, EVER, EVER blame anyone else for your idiocy and your inability to read.

There is probably a maximum index number (1st column is the index) as there is for most tables. The mmap tables for example cannt have indexes higher than 1000 so maybe the limit here is around 250.

Just replace my itemidxs and itemopts with whatever items you want. The guide shows you how to edit existing rates and also how to add new drops. I can't do anything other than doing it for you which i won't do.

But I try to add in MobDrop, it works. I determined to drop from Ectoleaf or Armap.
^^ Hard to kill but worth to try ^^

chumpy..i got a cabal ph..editing drops are diffrent from our cabal datas...the file is .MCL..what prog ill use to edit it..thnkz

Editing drops is the same no matter what language your client is, the only differences are the translation and a few values for items/quests/warps being switched around. The mcl files don't contain info about drops they contain information about the maps such as where walls and NPCs are. We cannot edit mcl files.

aww..thnkz 4 d reply..now my problem is i can find the /etc/cabal/Data/Data_World/world9-terrain.scp ..i think the files are locatend in a diffrent folders or data..coz we only reach the max lvl of 170...i'll attach a pic...tnkz tnkz much love..

Tip: paths that contain / mean linux and \ means windows, check your centos machine
